The Manager of Revenue Accounting will be responsible for a variety of key accounting functions, with an emphasis on leadership, operational excellence, and industry best practices.
Toast, Inc. seeks a strategic forward thinking Manager to lead complex close processes and drive solutions to benefit cross-functional teams and reporting goals.
About this roll* (Responsibilities)
- Lead an accurate and timely month-end close process by driving solutions that scale and support reporting objectives.
- Own the accounting of accounts receivable and the key estimates surrounding the allowance for doubtful accounts. Maintain precise reconciliations of key accounts.
- Own key internal and external revenue reporting metrics and disclosures for quarterly filings.
- Support the company’s growth, in particular the integration of revenue accounting of new offerings and non-integrated companies.
- Streamline and enhance processes and SOX compliant controls around revenue and related financial reporting metrics. Create efficiencies and simplification by leveraging technology solutions and automation.
- Lead collaboration with our cross functional partners, such as RevOps, Finance and FP&A, Accounting, and Product. Communicate the accounting implication to stakeholders at all levels.
- Provide oversight to Staff and Senior Accountants both onshore and offshore
Do you have the right ingredients*? (Requirements)
- 8+ years of relevant revenue accounting experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong cross-functional relationships.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines, work independently, prioritize competing workloads, and manage the deliverables from business partners and team members in a fast paced environment.
- Strong analytical skills, including ability to independently analyze key metrics, transactions, and contracts
- Experience with data platform engines (Snowflake preferred) and advanced excel skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment

- CPA preferred
- Experience with other accounting engines (NetSuite, RevPro, etc.)

The base salary range for this role is listed below. The starting salary will be determined based on skills and experience. In addition to base salary, our total rewards components include cash compensation (overtime, bonus/commissions, if eligible), benefits, and equity (if eligible).
