Headway’s mission is a big one – to build a new mental health care system everyone can access. We’ve built technology that helps people find great therapists with the first software-enabled national network of providers accepting insurance.

1 in 4 people in the US have a treatable mental health condition, but the majority of providers don’t accept insurance, making therapy too expensive for most people. Headway is building a new mental healthcare system that everyone can access by making it easy for therapists to accept insurance and scale their practice.

Headway was founded in 2019. Since then, we’ve grown into a diverse, national network of over 60,000 mental healthcare providers across all 50 states who run their practice on our software and have served over 1 million patients. We’re a Series D company with over $325m in funding from a16z (Andreessen Horowitz), Accel, GV (formerly Google Ventures), Spark Capital, Thrive Capital, Forerunner Ventures and Health Care Service Corporation.

We want your time here to be the most meaningful experience of your career. Join us, and help change mental healthcare for the better.

About The Role:

As a leader within Headway’s Revenue Operations org, reporting to the Manager of Revenue Operations Strategy, you’ll have the unique opportunity to build, shape, and lead an operational function directly responsible for unlocking Headway’s growth to drive provider activation, retention, and share of wallet.

As Headway scales to deliver high quality behavioral healthcare for millions of people across the country, the complexity of the operational landscape within which we operate has also increased exponentially. To this end, in our journey to build next generation healthcare growth infrastructure, we’re seeking an operational leader to grow and shape a truly mission-critical function responsible for scaling Headway’s growth engine.

The Revenue Operations, Marketing Strategy Lead will drive optimization of the upper-funnel conversion journey—from site visit through mid-funnel qualification—by partnering closely with senior marketing leaders and channel owners. You’ll leverage data, insights, and cross-functional collaboration to improve lead mix, quality, and volume, and accelerate Growth OKRs. This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity that will place you in the driver’s seat to impact business-defining outcomes, and redefine the gold standard for growth operations, while contributing to a world-class team within one of America’s fastest growing startups.

You will:

  • Serve as the growth strategy partner to senior Marketing stakeholders; refine channel strategy, guide resource allocation, and ensure the right mix of lead quality, volume, and funnel progression.
  • Own strategy and execution to improve conversion rates across channels and funnel stages, focusing on channel-level performance, user pathways, engagement, and lead quality.
  • Build and maintain reporting that monitors channel-level performance, conversion rates, and leading signals of pipeline health
  • Drive cross-functional projects to optimize marketing outcomes and investments -- collaborate with Marketing, Strategic Finance, Data, and Product/R&D to design and implement improvements that raise efficiency

You’d be a great fit if...

  • You have at least 5 years of experience (including ~2-3 years of experience in strategic management consulting and/or ~ 2-3 years of experience in Business Operations, Marketing or Strategy roles in high growth startups). Prior experience in Growth function is a nice to have.
  • You naturally break down complex, unfamiliar problems into well-defined, easy to understand areas of work
  • You have a passion for and experience leading projects and working cross-functionally with people in an operational/analytical capacity
  • You are skilled at navigating complex relationships with senior cross-functional stakeholders to drive business outcomes; you naturally build win-win relationships that drive mutual success in the long term
