Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for meeting/exceeding assigned sales goals and objectives by developing and maintaining strong, productive working relationships with customers, and by successfully quoting, negotiating, closing and managing large commercial construction projects, incorporating the complete ABB ELSP, ELSB, and ELDS product portfolios.
The work model for the role is: Remote (50-100 miles radius), preferred locations in San Francisco, CA and San Jose, CA.
This role is contributing to the Electrification Smart Building in California.
You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Develop and maintain strong, productive working relationships with channel partners (distributors, VAR’s, OEM’s), and influencers including engineers/consultants.

  • Develop and maintain strong, productive working relationships with electrical and general contractors at all levels of their organizations.

  • Perform project take-off's and develop cost effective proposals from project plans and specifications for electrical distribution and control equipment and services.

  • Develop and maintain customer account plans & pipeline detailing identity of key customers, stakeholders, estimated total annual ABB volume, project hit-rate, strength of relationship, development needs, etc.

  • Develop and utilize strong network of cross-functional internal resources (manufacturing, operations, spec engineers, field services, etc.) to maximize productivity and hit-rate.

Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (Engineering degree is preferred)

  • Minimum 2 years sales experience

  • Demonstrated knowledge of electrical industry and ABB products

  • Strong project management skills

  • CLP Graduate preferred (internal applicants only)

  • Must be able to drive automobile to visit customers

  • You hold current drivers license valid in California

  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.

ABB provides 11 paid holidays. Salaried exempt positions are provided vacation under a permissive time away policy.

While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicant’s qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay between $79,800 and $127,680 annually and is bonus eligible.
