We also collaborate with our health system partners to combine longitudinal EHR data with genomic data to optimize care across the health system. This proprietary clinico-genomic dataset, with recontactable individuals and actively enrolling programs, powers our life sciences segment and helps our life sciences partners bring innovative therapies to patients faster and more efficiently. 

In response to the COVID-19 public health crisis, Helix is  leveraging its expertise and infrastructure to develop and deploy more scalable and sensitive COVID-19 testing as well as accelerate research on the influence of genetics on COVID-19 infection and severity.

Helix is looking for an Account Executive to partner with our business development team in developing new business for our high-sensitivity molecular COVID-19 testing platform. The Account Executive will work closely with the business development team to generate new leads, qualify opportunities, organize and facilitate meetings with potential clients, and close deals across a variety of client types. The right candidate will have superb communication skills, be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and have experience in the healthcare (and ideally laboratory) industry. This is a contract role (6 months), with the potential to become full-time. 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a prioritized list of target clients across a variety of segments including both traditional (e.g., health systems) and non-traditional (e.g., state and local governments, school districts, employers) segments
  • In each of these segments, generate and qualify new leads through proactive outreach efforts as well as management of inbound leads from existing channels
  • For qualified leads, set up and facilitate initial conversations to understand clients’ goals and pain points and introduce them to understand  the Helix offering
  • Work closely with the business development team to generate new ideas and foster existing leads in addition to working cross-functionally with colleagues across the Helix team
  • Work with CRM and other analytics tools for lead management, pipeline tracking, reporting, etc.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in healthcare sales, ideally laboratory specific, driving the sales process from lead generation to deal closing
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting in front of a wide range of client types
  • Ability to develop and sustain strong client relationships
  • Comfortable working in a metrics-driven role and environment
  • Willingness to contribute in a variety of ways, even if outside formal responsibilities
  • Highly motivated with the ability to work in a fast paced environment and makes things happen
  • Bachelor’s degree required 

An ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience using Salesforce
  • Knowledge of government RFP processes
