The Account Manager & Business Development position is part of our Client team and represents the Company to its client’s, and potential clients, senior executives. You will be the eyes, ears, and voice of both Standard Cognition and its clients and the market as a whole on a daily basis. The entire Company will rely your work for direction. The Account Manager is a cross functional role and will require a self-starter to educate themselves about the products, technologies, and operations that make up Standard Cognition. This position reports to the Global Head of BD/AM.

This FULL TIME role is located onsite at our San Francisco office.

What you'll do as an Account Manager (70%):

  • Serve as main point of contact with existing Standard Cognition clients to collect/provide updates, requests, status reports, product information, etc.
  • Work with Standard Cognition’s internal Go-To-Market Team to design messaging to existing and prospective clients about our technology and product suite.
  • Engage with Standard Cognition’s engineering, product, data operations, and global services teams to gather internal requests and share relevant client information.
  • Partner with Standard Cognition’s leadership team to create, maintain, and communicate roadmaps.
  • Partner with the Global Head of BD/AM to create the process for information dissemination across internal stakeholders. 

What you'll do as a Business Development Representative (30%):

  • Help Standard Cognition sculpt our customer suite through evaluation and management of prospective customer inquiries.
  • Educate the retail market about Standard Cognition’s products and services through the formation relationships with retailers in North America.
  • Own the formation and cultivation of relationships with key clients/partners at all levels of their business (including, but not limited to; executive, senior leader, manager and individual contributer). 

Who you are:

  • You have 5+ years of professional experience in IT industry and at least 3 of those years were spent in a client-facing role.
  • You have a minimum of 2 years experience with project management tools, product roadmaps, and milestone delivery.
  • You thrive in spaces which allow you to engage with senior executives.
  • You’re a fantastic presenter and pride yourself on telling a compelling and accurate story.
  • You are skilled in navigating across teams. You are capable of understanding the needs of many different groups within an organization and care about team cohesiveness.
  • You are graceful with your pen and pay close attention to detail, especially when it comes to writing.
  • You are excited about technology and have a desire to learn the inter-workings of Standard Cognition’s product.
  • You have experience navigating across cultural lines and are excited about working with culturally diverse customers.
  • You are willing to travel 60% of your time. We’re a global company, so both domestic & international travel is necessary to build/maintain relationships with our customers.
