About you and the role

Zipline is rapidly expanding our instant healthcare delivery solution across the African continent, and much of this growth is driven by partnerships with multilateral, bilateral and philanthropic organizations in the global health community. We are looking for a dynamic and talented Account Manager to join our Global Health Partnerships team and provide support at all points of the customer lifecycle. Success requires a love for client-facing work, strength in stewarding high-profile relationships, and outstanding proposal writing skills. The ideal candidate demonstrates radical ownership mentality, strong attention to detail, an ability to multitask across multiple workstreams, and has experience working with donor organizations in public health.

What you’ll do

  • Support the team in managing a pipeline of highly qualified donor prospects and closing revenue by providing both pre- and post-sales support
  • Collaborate in the creation of tailored content for prospective partners, including presentations and proposals that evangelize the benefits of Zipline’s service
  • Research available grants and RFPs, assess alignment with Zipline’s goals, and develop compelling written proposals outlining novel programs that contribute strategic value and also lay the foundation for business use cases
  • Conduct research about and be intimately familiar with all of our strategic and donor partner accounts, including each one’s priorities, objectives, and the key stakeholders involved
  • Create a vision for the lifecycle of our critical partnerships by helping design and execute account plans for all existing and newly added partners, strategically positioning Zipline and our messaging throughout the engagement
  • Identify and help execute opportunities for future partnership growth
  • Assemble and share regular updates with Zipline’s partners on the status of projects; attend and eventually lead partner update meetings
  • Complete quarterly or annual reports and budgets as required by donor partners
  • Provide ad hoc project support for new use case trials and other collaborative initiatives
  • Continuously gather feedback from partners in order to improve Zipline’s engagement within the global health community
  • Thoroughly understand interdependent aspects of Zipline’s business, including aviation, fulfillment operations, health systems integration, regulatory compliance, and value to government partners

What you’ll bring

  • 3+ years of experience in a client facing role in public health or international development, preferably stewarding relationships with donor and grant-making institutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective and efficient management of senior level relationships
  • Ability to build trust quickly because you are authentic, direct, and have strong empathy for our partners
  • Experience with proposal development and grant writing
  • Confidence presenting updates to and inspiring a sophisticated audience
  • Project management experience, with a natural ability to multitask and work cross-functionally
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, self-sufficiency, and adaptability
