About the team:

The mission of the Broker Partnerships team is to drive win rates by partnering with the regional broker and consulting community, equipping them with our value story, resources, support and market differentiators to promote and install our services into their client base. We do this through selective top-down partnership opportunities and programs to achieve down-market scalability, and bottom’s up relationships with regional teams to optimize revenue opportunities. Most of your time is spent on traditional work with brokers, providing our off the shelf products to their clients; however, where we have very high-value, unique partnership opportunities with a broker, we will invest to build it with this team.

In less formal terms, the Broker Partnerships team is a small, elite, highly focused team of seasoned sales and relationship professionals who establish formal and informal partnerships and relationships with the regional brokerage community to increase opportunities and win-rates.

About the role:

The Broker Partnerships Director will be responsible for the following core functions: 1) Establish and foster key relationships with national practice leaders and; 2) drive awareness and preference of our services throughout the brokerage houses down to the individual broker level; 3) supporting initial deals through contracting, implementation, launch and year 1 to ensure delivery excellence; and 4) partnering with our regional sales directors to optimize win rate. In order to effectively drive growth through these channels, you may also need to create partnership models that leverage our broker partners to increase the efficiency of our client success and implementation processes. Ultimately, you are responsible for rapidly growing our revenue and client base through the broker partnerships that you will build and own. Over time, the relationships & partnerships you build will also impact our goals around client retention.

Additionally, the Broker Partnerships Director will provide key deal and market insights to GTM leadership and Product line general managers, helping to shape our products, packaging, and the way we message our solution broadly.

In your first 30 days:

  • Onboard with the Grand Rounds team through general and GTM-specific training.
  • Shadow other Broker Partnerships Directors.
  • Complete Channel Partnership onboarding certification program to ensure mastery of the foundational pillars including solution overview, product demonstration, impact reporting, and a deep understanding of our differentiated approach to evaluating physician quality.
  • Begin engaging with brokers on current sales opportunities.

In Your First 60 Days:

  • Develop a strong internal network.
  • Begin applying knowledge honed in certification program to opportunities.
  • Share feedback on our messaging approach and how it’s landing (we want your ideas and perspective).
  • Engage with Product / Engineering teams to share market feedback, understand product roadmap, provide input.
  • Engage with Product GM’s to provide input on packaging, market competitiveness, future priorities.
  • Engage with Growth Initiatives team to discuss opportunities, market expectations, and future opportunities.

In Your First 90 Days:

  • Established position and relationships with designated brokerage houses, establish initial pipeline and engagement in live opportunities.
  • Take ownership for Grand Rounds' relationship with 2 - 4 key brokerage firms.

What makes you a great fit:

  • 5+ years of customer-facing experience in health and benefits.
  • Prefer someone who has sold navigation or complex virtual care solutions before. Or has consulted clients on these solutions as a broker / consultant.
  • Proficient at digging into the technical and operational details and collaborating with internal resources to to deliver high-quality proposals and solutions.
  • Experience with building relationships and partnerships in healthcare benefits ecosystem.
  • Strong analytical ability - understand and communication return on investment metrics, utilization calculations, etc.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information and messages to a broad and diverse audience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Ability to travel (travel amount TBD; currently zero due to COVID-19).
