Business Development at Postmates

As a member of the Business and Corporate Development team at Postmates, you'll play an important role in the expansion of Postmates’ products. Your goal is to identify, evaluate, and execute large-scale partnerships that will provide step-function growth for our product. You will also take on operational responsibilities supporting the planning and implementation of key strategic initiatives for the company.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify key partnerships to grow the user base and drive engagement for the Postmates consumer product suite
  • Own full lifecycle of partner engagement, deal-making, and partnership implementation for growth-centric partnership models
  • Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs
  • Evolve existing business models and help establish new commercial propositions with a focus on profitability and payback
  • Work closely with leaders from product, marketing, sales, and engineering teams to launch initiatives and scale existing business
  • Execute in a fast-paced and constantly-evolving environment

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 12+ years of experience in partnerships and business development roles in related consumer tech companies
  • Knowledge of organizational dynamics, operating experience with cross-functional organizations
  • Communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build rapport
  • Experience with managing complex priorities while maintaining organization and control
  • Strong analytical skills 
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Advanced degree such as an MBA 
  • Experience in and understanding of the delivery/logistics and/or food services landscape
  • Knowledge of online business models and Internet/consumer technology
  • Product background is a big plus
