The Role:
Carrot is seeking a Business Development Executive (Consultant Relations) to help Carrot grow and retain our customer base. The BD team is a highly experienced team of individuals responsible for developing trust-based relationships with key consultants, ensuring our inclusion in appropriate opportunities, driving successful outcomes and generally educating the consultant market on Carrot capabilities.
The Business Development Executive at Carrot Fertility will be responsible for developing a deep relationship with the prominent National Consulting Firm’s leadership and Principal consultants, supporting the strategy of Enterprise opportunities and helping Carrot develop our capabilities and positioning in a way that is aligned with top consultants’ expectations.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop trust-based relationships with National Consulting Firm’s leadership, influencers and individual Principal consultants.
- Educate consultants on Carrot’s capabilities, collect feedback and adjust positioning where possible. When necessary, work internally to share obstacles and advantages.
- Manage effective communication of the Carrot value proposition on an annual basis, product features and future opportunity expectations
- Work closely with the Carrot Sales and Customer Success teams to grow and retain Carrot customers.
- Function as the “voice of the consultant” internally and provide relevant updates on the consulting market

The Team:
The Business Development Executive will work in partnership and strategize closely with the BD team in entirety and will report to the AVP of Business Development.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3-5 years working at the prominent National Consulting Firm, with strong contacts and proven relationships within the firm
- Adept understanding of the Consulting practice, renewal, and all facets of health and welfare priorities
- Understanding of Benefits Leaders’ priorities and challenges
Preferred Qualifications:
- >5 years working at the prominent National Consulting Firm
- 1-3 years experience in a comparable Consultant Relations role
- Proven track record of significantly increasing impact year over year
