Business Development Manager - Growth Partnerships

As a Leader on the Business Development team, you will focus on identifying, evaluating, and executing on new partnerships to build long term value across customers and markets. The ideal candidate enjoys project planning and collaboration with internal and external partners to apply new technologies and solve industry challenges.
How You'll Contribute:
- Lead and mentor a team of business development professionals
- Identify, compare, and propose opportunities for Blend to reach new users and new markets
- Position partnership opportunities to internal and external decision makers to align on scope and sequencing of activities
- Identify new partners, negotiate business and technical terms across a variety of initiatives Integrate a deep understanding of the mortgage and broader consumer lending industry with strategic decision making
- Build deep relationships with Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Legal to collaborate and execute on solutions
- Learn and maintain a deep understanding of the Blend platform
Who You Are:
- Proven track record of repeatable success in leading a team and managing people to identify, build, and grow new initiatives for a high growth company
- Extensive work experience creating new growth opportunities in the role of: business development, strategy, consulting, or technology field
- Proven ability to set goals and organize individuals around activities to deliver exceptional results
- Track-record of motivating and inspiring team members to create a collaborative and highly functioning team
- Strong business acumen from business case development, to program management, to execution
- Track-record in identifying, building and negotiating complex business partnerships
- Demonstrable creativity and thoughtfulness in structuring deals to reflect unique business relationships
- Comfort with ambiguity and recommending solutions with limited information
- Exceptional ability to build buy-in across all levels of the organization
- Demonstrable history of an ability to initiate, foster, and grow relationships across a wide variety of people
- Strong and persuasive executive presence
- Excellent communication skills - verbal, written and presentation
- Independent, flexible and can thrive in an unstructured environment
