The opportunity:

We are looking for a curious, coachable and extremely hardworking person that is excited about selling to residential and commercial solar installers and driving net new revenue. 

A BDR is a future sales captain at Aurora. We invest in our team--in the past six months alone our BDRs have gone on to Account Executive roles, taken on project manager roles, supported six-figure deals, and contributed to our company culture. As a BDR for the Mid-Market, you are the front line of our sales process working hand in hand with a cross-functional team to build a pipeline of Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs) within targeted market segments. You’ll navigate through organizations, conducting deep discovery with multiple C-suite managers.

What we're looking for:

  • Work directly with Sales Management to coordinate and prioritize outreach efforts
  • Effectively implement ABM (Account-Based Marketing) campaigns across inbound and outbound channels
  • Expertly position and convey Aurora’s value proposition to different stakeholders during the early engagement stages
  • Utilize business and industry knowledge to research and develop accounts, identify key stakeholders, generate interest, create/identify compelling events, etc.
  • Outbound prospecting to companies via calls, email, marketing campaigns, social selling, etc. utilizing world-class sales enablement tools
  • Conduct high-level discovery and educational conversations with senior stakeholders (C-Level, VP/Director) in target accounts
  • Exceed monthly/quarterly quotas for Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs)
  • Manage, track, and report on all activities and results using Salesforce, Outreach, and Chorus

What we value:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1+ years of experience in Sales Development, Operations, Sales, and/or Finance preferred
  • Interest in a career in Sales or in Sales Management
  • Goal-oriented and motivated personality with a strong bias to action
  • Proactive self-starter able to prioritize and manage your workload
  • Excellent social, written, and oral communication skills
  • Positive and energetic phone skills, excellent listening skills, strong writing skills
  • Passionate about renewable energy, solar and clean technology a plus

Our office is midway between Union Square and the Financial District. We're 2 blocks from public transportation and walking distance to historical Chinatown and North Beach. Located on the 5th floor, our space is equipped with high ceilings, abundant natural light, and exposed brick.
