Business Value Senior Associate, Mid-Market

ROLE OVERVIEW
Benchling is looking for an energetic Business Value Senior Associate to help build and shape worldwide programs and content for our Business Value program. This person will also conduct key business value customer engagements for key mid-market prospects and customers. They will have a passion for customer engagement, creating unique, value-first narratives and building sustainable global operations.
This key contributor to the business value program, will be mainly responsible for the delivery of successful customer-facing business value engagements, helping to articulate the tangible, strategic, and financial impact that our product can deliver to their organizations. Secondly, this role will help lay the foundation for sustainable business processes and worldwide programs and content, including the development of reusable tools and content.
This role requires a passionate, confident, self-starter with an analytical and business mindset. The ideal candidate will have experience in or across management consulting and SaaS go-to-market. Experience in life sciences or R&D in other key verticals (e.g., agriculture, consumer packaged goods, industrial goods) is desired.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
- Support Business Value engagements with key mid-market customers and prospects at all points of the customer lifecycle, from business case justifications to value measurement and realization of targeted business impacts
- Conduct and facilitate internal and external research and discovery around customer business processes, market trends, and business value analysis
- Collaborate cross-functionally and be a trusted resource to go-to-market teams, including Sales, Solutions, and Customer Success
- Develop standardized materials for use across Business Value teams to support team scale, taking into account best practice and ideal value messaging (e.g., deliverable templates, slide repository, etc.)
- Create impactful, customer-facing content suitable for use across go-to-market teams
- Create thoughtful and usable tools for sales to engage with customers in a value-first discussion (such as ROI calculators, maturity model, etc.)
- Collaborate with Sales Enablement to train and empower go-to-market teams to easily leverage these tools
ABOUT YOU
- 3+ years professional experience, ideally in consultative, analytical, customer-facing roles within enterprise software, technology, or consulting companies
- Outstanding ability to convey value proposition and insights, combining a deep understanding of the Benchling product and solutions, with a customer’s unique use case and business needs
- Strong presenter with an executive presence, that can serve as trusted advisor to a variety of technical audiences (research scientists, managers, executives)
- Exceptional written communicator, with a knack for shaping strong, polished customer-facing deliverables
- Creative, strategic and analytical thinker, with a business-forward mindset
- Self-starter with a dynamic, confident personality
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and wear multiple hats
- Experience in a Sales environment and interacting with customer-facing teams required
- Experience working within the biopharma industry, aligned with the R&D function preferred
