THE TEAM

The goal of the Sales/Customer Success Operations & Strategy team is to build the foundation of our internal systems and processes, scale these systems, and improve efficiencies across the board. The team blends high-level strategic thinking with on-the-ground execution to propel the company to grow and scale well, with a strong focus on analytical and quantitative thinking. We are a team of problem-solvers, where all challenges are met with enthusiasm and open minds.

The team works cross-functionally with multiple departments including sales, marketing, operations, finance, product, and IT. This is an opportunity to influence how we build our operations and sales/customer success efforts and strategies worldwide and contribute to a highly productive, data-driven, and analytical team. We are looking for someone who has a great attention to detail, the ability to work cross-functionally, and excellent communication skills.

This is the first dedicated hire to build out the deal operations function. Previously run embedded in Sales/CS Ops, we recognize the importance of scaling deal operations as growth accelerates!

  • Create and position complex orders: serve as the subject matter expert and partner with Sales & Customer Success teams to craft proposals for deal constructs and special pricing while ensuring adherence to our sales policies and pricing, quoting, and contract processes
  • Run deal operations: ensure deals progress through the sales cycle, including internal approval processes, review quotes, and close deals
  • Cross-functional stakeholder management: partner with key internal teams (including Legal, Finance, Accounting, and Operations) to drive process, policy, and pricing decisions
  • Org enablement: create a quote certification training to onboard and maintain best practices and overall knowledge; train teams and new hires as processes evolve
  • Operational efficiency: Build scalable improvements to our systems to increase contract velocity and sales productivity

ABOUT YOU

  • 4+ years of work experience, ideally in an operations or deal support role
  • Excellent communication and critical thinking skills: you understand enterprise sales processes with long sales cycles, and are able to communicate methods and results to cross-functional teams
  • Highly collaborative, “customer first” mentality: you thrive in a team environment and are able to remember the human, practicing empathy to tailor delivery and solutions for the relevant audience
  • Get ship done: you prioritize, manage, and deliver on multiple projects simultaneously, are highly motivated, and juggle it all while tackling aggressive deadlines
  • Detail-oriented: thorough and consistent delivery of high-quality work
  • Analytical skills: Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets
  • Prior experience with Salesforce and quote to contract (CPQ) tools and processes preferred
