Director, Enterprise Sales
OVERVIEW
As we continue our fast growth, we are looking to add to our Business Development team. We are hiring a Director of Enterprise Sales to lead Instacart’s sales efforts across our suite of enterprise products. In this role, you will have responsibilities including, but not limited to, building & managing relationships with Instacart’s largest partners, spearheading Instacart’s enterprise sales process from beginning to contract close, collaborating cross functionally to inform both individual deal structure & broader enterprise sales strategy, up-selling new offerings and opportunities, and keeping the Instacart executive team apprised of progress.
ABOUT THE JOB
- Responsible for the development and ownership of the Enterprise sales engagement strategy to promote growth and partnership opportunities with major retailers
- Lead sales cycle from prospect to contract close across all Enterprise solutions - including but not limited to ecommerce and API solutions
- Build strategic relationships with prospective clients by demonstrating strong business acumen, trust and confidence across all stakeholder levels including C-suite
- Responsible for identification of key growth initiatives to defend and expand Enterprise footprint
- Collaborate cross functionally throughout the sales process to ensure all key stakeholders (internally & externally) are aligned on key partnership terms & milestones
- Establish a deep understanding of Instacart's business operations, including internal processes, functional group strategies, and competitive context
- Engage, educate, collaborate, and problem solve with external partners at all levels of the organization
- Must actively manage enterprise sales pipeline & establish scalable sales processes
ABOUT YOU
- 10+ years previous experience; MBA preferred but not required
- Prior experience should focus on enterprise and / or SaaS sales success, with a preference for prior experience selling into major North American retailers
- Strong technical acumen to allow effective articulation of Instacart’s Enterprise capabilities & offerings
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to distill complex issues
- Comfort with large data sets and ability to extract business insights from analysis
- Comfort with ambiguity and a rapidly evolving business landscape
- Solid stakeholder management skills, both for internal and external stakeholders
- Quick communication response times
- Ability to manage across functions and present to leadership
