About the role 

 

Afresh is looking for a Fresh Account Manager to be the post-sales quarterback for our strategic, enterprise customers. We often refer to our customers as partners in the spirit of mutual benefit and building multi-decade-long relationships.  

 

Our customers have thousands of employees operating hundreds if not thousands of stores, often with billions in revenue. The level of complexity is high. 

 

You will own value realization and revenue retention for existing Afresh products. You will be responsible for building deep relationships with executive sponsors and category managers to thoroughly understand their company objectives while navigating a diverse set of stakeholders—Operations, Merchandising, IT, Finance, Distribution, etc.

  • Be the post-sales quarterback for 1-2 customers.
  • Develop professional and personal relationships with key stakeholders, learn their most meaningful strategic priorities, and ensure we deliver business outcomes.
  • Map out our customers’ complex org structures and build account plans for quarterly and annual deliverables.
  • Collaborate closely with Afresh Deployment, Support, Product, Engineering and Sales teams.
  • Create and illustrate chainwide value with compelling, data-driven storytelling, e.g. actionable reporting insights, business reviews, store- and division-level trends, etc.
  • Maximize retention and new product purchases from our customers, while earning their trust to be potential reference customers for Afresh.
  • Serve as an advocate for our customers, collaborating with internal cross-functional partners to unlock additional value; set appropriate expectations with regard to product roadmap.

Skills and experience

  • 5+ years working in Customer Success at enterprise software companies
  • Consistent record of establishing and growing strategic, enterprise client relationships
  • Experience with grocery or retail customers preferred
  • Vertical SaaS experience preferred
  • Customer obsession: energized by engaging with customers, both in-person and virtually. Passionate about the customer experience
  • Relationship builder: empathetic listener who inspires trust in others and builds deep relationships with customers
  • Value orientation: consistently oriented toward value creation for our customers. Effectively communicates the value we have created to these customers
  • Commercial skills: track record of stellar revenue retention for complex enterprise accounts; partnering closely with sales for expansion/upsells/cross-sell opportunities
  • Curiosity: has an instinct to learn everything about our customers in the industry
  • Collaborative: demonstrates the ability to work across a broad range of functions internally and externally to deliver value to our customers
  • Function builder: can help create processes and structures where none previously existed.
  • Self-starter: thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Able to overcome ambiguity and build and create processes without existing guidelines or playbooks
  • Stellar communicator: excellent written, verbal, and visual communication and presentation skills
