About the Role: 

The leader of our Business Development team will own the company’s ecosystem strategy, manage important third-party relationships, negotiate key deals, and drive revenue associated with third-party products.

What you'll be doing:

  • Create and continuously refine the principles that drive decision making around our engagements with third party software companies

  • Prioritize partners and deals, communicate the prioritization internally and externally, set expectations with other leaders in the business, and manage our partners to meet those expectations

  • Drive our deal making along with legal, product marketing, and other stakeholders

  • Grow our resale business; marrying business terms with in-product execution (in partnership with our engineering team)

  • Triage inbound requests and flag new opportunities to the exec team

Qualifications: 

  • Solid technical know-how: understands the concepts of APIs, SSO infrastructure, and related technologies

  • Experience working in a SaaS business with a similar reliance on third-party relationships as part of its strategy 

  • Capable of understanding the implications of the actions of other companies to achieve our own vision

  • Good executive poise, good communication skills, and an interface that is capable of representing our company to external executives

  • Highly analytical, data and systems oriented problem solver 

  • Experience building, managing, and developing a business development team

  • Ability to execute with conviction and good judgment with limited guidance; needs minimal direction in an ambiguous context to take action and then adapt quickly
