Addepar is looking for a high energy, customer focused Manager of Business Development that is committed to helping grow a diverse and inclusive Business Development team and workforce.  The Manager of Business Development will help drive strategy and success within our Sales organization to achieve aggressive growth across the wealth management, family office, private banking, and global investment management market segments.

The Manager of Business Development will work closely with Sales Executives, Sales Operations and Marketing teams at Addepar and be responsible for managing a division within the Sales organization to build market position by locating, developing, and qualifying prospective clients.   

Responsibilities

  • Set strategic direction for the business development team to exceed our overall growth targets while consistently reviewing and updating strategies as our business evolves.
  • Refine existing and design future sales campaigns from ground up with a deep understanding of how to performance-manage against funnel metrics.
  • Maintain accurate forecasting and pipeline management.
  • Own recruiting, objectives setting, coaching and performance monitoring of business development representatives
  • Ensure there is a training process in place to educate new Business Development Representatives about Addepar’s market, product/platform, and sales process.
  • Consistently analyze the performance of the business development team ensuring prompt delivery and accuracy of daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly reports to executives and senior management.
  • Provide career coaching and invest in getting the best out of our talented business development representatives
  • Perform market research to identify new opportunities and engage with executives to establish strategies for pursuing those new opportunities
  • Develop your team through motivation, performance management, and product knowledge education
  • Assign territories and partner with Sales Operations to develop and implement individual and team quota plans

Knowledge & Skills

  • Proven track record of managing a world-class business development team, including extensive forecasting experience and achieving or exceeding revenue goals
  • 5+ years experience managing teams of sales professionals
  • Strong work ethic, energetic, proactive, team player.
  • Salesforce experience is a must.
  • Excellent communication skills, including oral, written, and presentation abilities.
  • Desire to solve complex client problems and build a great company.
  • Comfortable presenting to C-suite at financial services organizations.
