PagerDuty (Rundeck) is currently seeking a highly motivated Manager, Deal Desk Operations to join our global sales team, with emphasis on supporting the Americas. In this role, you will be responsible for actively working with sales, customer success, finance, and other cross-functional teams for deal structuring and commercial terms for complex enterprise deals. This role is critical to the business as you’re considered a significant partner and the business liaison to the field sales organization. This position offers the opportunity to join a team focused on designing and executing process improvement initiatives that align sales efforts to global strategies.
How you Impact our Vision
- Facilitate communication and collaboration across key stakeholder organizations in support of a quick, efficient, and accurate sales process. Your key stakeholders include; sales, marketing, legal, finance, product management, and engineering
- Identify and resolve issues that could prevent deals from closing in a timely manner
- Escalate deal-threatening issues to appropriate leaders when resolution cannot be achieved at the virtual team level
- Actively manage and interact in deal flow with prospects, sales teams, and management
- Serve as an escalation point and provide approvals to help move deals forward
- Collaborate and share best practices across geographies/regions
- Assist with weekly cadence of program and function reviews to increase visibility, drive alignment, and resolve blockers
- Assist in the development of standards, procedures, and cadence for key business operations
- Assist in defining KPIs to track strategic goals, milestones and accomplishments
- Assist in delivering regional level reporting, including weekly, monthly, quarterly status reports to manage risks and issues and improve team communication and collaboration
- Identify and drive opportunities for continuous improvement of cross-functional processes, especially as they relate to sales and sales-related matters.
- Support new sales program initiatives as needed
- Assist with the maintenance of our Loopio library and responding to RFx requests
- Assist in building and maintaining deal enablement content for the sales organization, and hold training sessions for the appropriate audience as needed
About you
- Bachelor’s degree required, in the following fields of study: Business Administration; Math or Statistics; Finance; Engineering or Computer Science
- 4+ years of experience in a deal desk, contracts, legal, sales operations, or revenue role; software/SaaS/subscription experience a plus
- Knowledge of sales and sales-related processes such as configuration, pricing, quoting, order forms, legal review
- Flexible to adjust to the hyper-growth environment
- Flexible to extend/shift working hours to accommodate the business
- Experience with Salesforce CPQ or equivalent
Preferred Skills
- Basic understanding of GAAP revenue recognition principles
- Strong business acumen with excellent communication skills - verbal and written
- Strong logic and analytical abilities
- Adept at business partnering and working with cross functional teams, building meaningful business relationships along the way
- Self-motivated and able to work under pressure; dependable with deliverables and deadlines, able to multi-task
