About The Team
Crunchyroll’s Strategy & Corporate Development team is responsible for guiding the company’s overall long-term strategy by evaluating new business lines, opportunities, and corporate initiatives in addition to owning the pursuit and integration of acquisitions and investments. We are seeking a Manager to play an integral role in crafting the future of Crunchyroll!
Reporting directly to the Head of Strategy & Corporate Development; this role offers visibility as well as consistent opportunities to communicate impactful, strategic insights to leadership and across the organization.
Crunchyroll COVID-19 Hiring StatusCrunchyroll employees are currently working from home, and we are still conducting remote interviews and hiring during this time. This role is expected to start remotely, and we’ll work closely with you as we understand every person has unique circumstances.
Location: Los Angeles/Burbank
- Work closely with the Head of Strategy & Corporate Development, executive team and senior-level business managers to evaluate and determine growth initiatives, prioritize investment opportunities, and allocate resources.
- Lead, evaluate, and help greenlight new corporate initiatives congruent with vision and mission by tracking existing portfolio of initiatives; leading cross-functional teams to develop investment thesis; and providing ad hoc financial modeling and in-depth analysis to drive intelligent decision-making.
- Help drive the entire M&A process, perform evaluation of potential opportunities, and support deal negotiations by:
- Assessing market landscapes, developing profiles on target companies, and conducting due diligence.
- Developing and articulating valuations, investment rationales, and business cases.
- Support ongoing and future M&A integration workstreams and other corporate initiatives.
- Partner with Finance and Business Intelligence as well as building and maintaining other strong, cross-functional relationships across the organization.
About You:
- 5+ years of experience in strategy, consulting, investment banking, and/or finance supporting corporate investments, mergers, and/or acquisitions.
- Outstanding proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint or Google Slides.
- Superb financial modeling skills and extensive experience conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis.
- Curiosity, strong initiative, and a desire to pursue complex business problems.
- Strong communication with a track record of leading projects, generating meaningful solutions to problems, and presenting strategic recommendations to leadership.
- M&A and/or investment experience across entertainment, digital/online media, entertainment, or adjacent industries is a plus.
