Whether it’s conducting a retrospective, participating in our monthly Hackdays, cranking out a new product feature, supporting our two PagerDuty bands, or doing our day to day work, Dutonians live and breathe these five values every day. Together, we solve real customer issues and fulfill our mission of connecting teams to real-time opportunities and elevate work to the outcomes that matter.

Solve for what’s next—at PagerDuty.

Why We Need You

At PagerDuty, we believe that technology can transform how we work and how we do good. PagerDuty.org is our corporate social impact initiative that directs PagerDuty’s most important assets – our people, technology and company resources – to nonprofit organizations around the world.

As PagerDuty.org prepares for it's next phase of growth, we are excited to search for our first Director of Nonprofit Market and Business Development, PagerDuty.Org. This role will report to the Vice President of Social Impact and will play a critical role in architecting, implementing and scaling PagerDuty’s Go To Market program for nonprofits. This person is passionate about using technology to do good in the world, knows how to build and inspire a sales team, has experience building programs from the ground up, brings creativity and resourcefulness to the challenge at hand, is exceptional at engaging diverse stakeholders and can equally speak to and collaborate with nonprofit CIOs, internal product teams and the head of sales.

To launch this new arm of PagerDuty.org, you’ll build a sales overlay model that will support the current PagerDuty Sales Team to increase the cadence at which they serve nonprofits and decrease friction in the process through targeted outreach, customized sales processes and enablement. In this role, you’ll build a nimble and effective PagerDuty.org Sales program that uses our technology to do more good in the world, makes it easy for the social sector to access critical technology to achieve its mission, and generates a new revenue stream to make PagerDuty.org self sustaining. If this opportunity sounds exciting to you, we'd love to hear from you!

  • Build trust within the nonprofit community
  • Create joint marketing campaigns
  • Leverage opportunities to support and provide additional value to nonprofit customers

How You Impact Our Vision

  • 30% Entrepreneurial - You have created something from nothing. You have demonstrated ability to take a concept and create a robust plan, implement, and successfully produce results against the plan. You will do whatever it takes to get the job done and know what it means to be a one-person show when needed (this program is a start-up within PagerDuty).
  • 30% Sales - You love solving problems for salespeople to help them close a sale. You have at least 4 years experience in developing sales plays and have taken a lead role in creating a go-to-market model.
  • 20% Nonprofits - You are oriented toward solving problems for nonprofits, and have lived their experience. You are a tech-savvy "people" person who learns fast and thinks on your feet. You love working with real customers—listening to them and solving real world problems, especially when it uses PagerDuty to make the world a better place.

How has your career grown since starting at the company?

I started at PagerDuty two days after graduation, when I was unsure of what I really wanted to do. My six year tenure has resulted in a role change each year, starting as a temporary Recruiting Coordinator to now, as a Majors Account Executive where I enjoy working with some of our most strategic customers.
