Wing is reshaping the future of delivery. We are an on-demand drone delivery service that can deliver food, medicine or other items within minutes. We’ve also developed an unmanned traffic management platform to safely route drones through the sky. Our service is faster, safer and produces far less pollution than traditional delivery. Originally created in 2012 within X, the Moonshot Factory, Wing is now an Alphabet company.
About the Role:
Wing is looking for a Partnerships Lead to lead some of our key business development and partnerships efforts. The ideal candidate has experience in developing and maintaining commercial relationships with top tier companies and executives, negotiating commercial contracts and deep understanding of technology. The role is based in Palo Alto and requires travel as needed.

You are a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, and can provide problem-solving leadership. You're highly collaborative, open-minded, persistent and strategic – all vital attributes in order to interact successfully with internal and external partners. Using your influencing and relationship-building skills, you will provide high-caliber relationship development and deal making. You anticipate how decisions are made, persistently explore and uncover the business needs of Wing's key partners and understand how our technology can help grow their business. You have a strong background in forging strategic partnerships, negotiating deals and have an innate ability to communicate and collaborate with a broad range of constituents, including both internal and external senior executives.
The role will require extensive work with internal Wing teams spanning several functions (e.g., Operations, PM, Engineering, Legal, Marketing, Policy, Finance and Strategy). You will be required to influence senior stakeholders internally and externally by developing a strong point of view on go-to-market strategies. You will also lead exploratory discussions with prospective partners such as top retailers and ecosystem players to enable transactions across various retail verticals. Success will rely on your ability to negotiate complex deals and forge new partnerships. You will need to immerse yourself in in the commerce and retail space along with having a deep understanding of Wing’s technology in order to influence both internally and externally.
What You’ll Need:
- 10+ years relevant experience
- Experience in launching products and technologies
- Proven ability to negotiate complex contracts with large companies
- Familiarity with the drone industry
- Experience in pre revenue to revenue partnerships
- Excellent cross-functional engagement
- Excellent project management skills
- Experience with platform and ecosystem plays (cloud computing, 3-sided marketplaces, etc)
