What you'll do/Duties (Essential Functions):

  • Build, lead, and hold accountability across a team of 20+ high-performing Vehicle Acquisition Specialists including a manager and two team leads; all while working in a “remote” environment.
  • Leading yourself and the team in a way that supports Shift’s Vision, Mission and core values
  • The ability to develop a strategic vision for the department and able to effectively articulate the vision and progress to executive leadership
  • Interviewing qualified candidates as potential additions to an aggressively growing team
  • Coaching and mentoring early career, first time leaders; teaming with them to develop high performing teams
  • Consistently analyze the performance of your team, and provide consistent coaching and direction as needed.
  • Daily call coaching and role-playing to develop vehicle acquisition skills in a consultative approach.
  • Weekly 1:1’s focusing on manager and individual contributor development aligned to their career path
  • Work closely with Executive Management on developing and building process efficiencies, and sales tooling.   
  • Assist with customers directly when necessary

What we ask for/Qualifications, Skills, & Experience:

  • 5-7+ years of Inside sales experience, with 3-5+ years of Inside Sales Leadership experience
  • Preference for candidates with experience within a high growth company 
  • Auto sales experience a big plus but not required
  • Possesses a strong desire to ‘win’ and grow volume as well as personal earnings
  • High level of ethics and integrity.
  • Passion for sales leadership, development, and mentorship while still having a desire to jump into the front lines with your team.
  • Self starter and collaborative leader, as well as an analytical and strategic thinker
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce and/or Hubspot preferred
  • Start-up experience a plus
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience preferred
