The Role:
The focus of this role will be assigned BCBS plans in specific states. As an individual contributor, you have a proven track record of selling complex solutions into the payer market. The candidate will be expert at uncovering opportunities, building alliances and aligning constituencies with senior executives at highly matrixed payer organizations. You have sold complex products that require deep product as well as industry knowledge. You will gather prospect feedback and requests while working with internal teams to help align our product roadmap. The right candidate communicates effectively across multiple departments and with customers of varying needs and enjoys the challenge of providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
- Build a strong sales pipeline while also closing deals, exceeding quarterly and annual sales targets and documenting your work.
- Be a trusted advisor to external parties, enabling you to gain insights into your prospects’ pain- points and buying needs
- Become an expert on Carrot’s product and conduct discovery calls, customized demos and presentations to prospective customers
- Act as a partner to Carrot’s product team and the voice of the market to help inform product priorities
- Learn Carrot’s unique value proposition and convincingly communicate Carrot’s strengths
- Collaborate well with team members and forecast accurately
- Meet and exceed annual revenue targets
The Team:
- The RVP of Payers Sales will report to the VP of Payer Sales and will work alongside a team of 4-5 other Enterprise AE in adjacent health plan verticals.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience selling solutions into BCBS Plans or similar large health insurance carriers
- Deep payer industry expertise with significant experience navigating and working with a Payers Sales, Product, Care Management, Innovation and Financial teams
- Proactively hunt, create and develop strategic opportunities by leveraging personal and professional network of Payer executives
- Advanced understanding of the strategic sale and what is required to successfully sell complex clinical solutions
