The Role
The Sales Enablement Manager will ensure that the sales organization has the required knowledge, skills, processes, and behaviors to optimize every interaction with retailers. The Sales Enablement Manager will partner with Sales, Partnerships, and Marketing to improve critical processes and develop a strategy for team training and content. This role will be responsible for creating, coordinating, and delivering enablement content. Reporting to the Director of Sales Operations, this role will partner with the global Sales leadership team. Our ideal candidate for this role will be someone who has experience building and facilitating training programs from the ground up in a high-growth environment.
Responsibilities
-Partner with Enterprise & SMB Sales Leadership, Product/Marketing, Channel Partnerships, Merchant Services, and Operations in designing curriculum strategies that are in line with current and long-term company revenue goals
-Own the discovery, development, implementation, and analysis of interactive and engaging sales training content in multiple formats (instructor led, eLearning, virtual learning, knowledge transfer)
-Build out a sales-specific initial employee on-boarding program and training program to provide foundational information and make the Afterpay sales team and selling partners, world-class
-Help to ramp channel partners to effectively sell Afterpay
-Create programs for ongoing sales training and employee development: sales pitch certification, ongoing training/learning, sales playbook creation
-Plan, facilitate and conduct training classes on sales techniques and methodologies involved in selling Afterpay’s core product and additional solutions and capabilities
-Identify content gaps and organize content with a content map for the company
-Help the sales team save time by not searching for content across multiple sources
-Build sales support materials intranet that serves as a one-stop-shop for selling effectively and standard operating procedures (ex: battle cards, best practices, pro tips)
-Ensure the materials are easy to find and navigate, used frequently and increasing key business metrics
-Attend calls with managers and reps to understand the "field reality" and build enablement deliverables that align with the customer journey
-Act as a sales enablement and product subject matter expert by staying up-to-date on current processes, products, platforms, competition as well as sales industry trends
-Understand new Afterpay feature rollouts and proactively communicate the change and impact to the teams in a scalable fashion
-Manage sales tools tech stack (ex: Salesforce) and user best practices
-Measure the impact of enablement solutions and make changes if needed
Qualifications
-Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of experience in sales enablement
-Proficiency in building lasting relationships with senior level sales leaders
-Strong collaborative nature and communication skills to work effectively and efficiently with peers, SME's, leadership, and stakeholders
-Experience with content management and learning management systems
-Highly organized and analytical in nature with outstanding project management skills
