Sales Manager at Checkout.com


Checkout.com is expanding our Commercial Team in the US! We're actively seeking an enthusiastic, hard-working Sales Manager who is intellectually curious, self-motivated, and energized to build a business.


Reporting directly to the VP of Sales, the Sales Manager will be responsible for driving new business growth by owning end-to-end sales cycles for our global payments solutions across verticals, channels and markets. Our ideal candidate is gritty and entrepreneurial, but also highly collaborative, capable of building lasting relationships with merchants and colleagues across Business and Technology.


In addition, the commission plan for this role is unmatched. Similar to the revenue model at most payments companies, Checkout.com earns a portion of all volume we process. As a Sales manager, you're eligible to receive for every merchant you onboard a percentage of all net revenue Checkout.com generates from that merchant in perpetuity.

About you

  • 3+ years sales experience, including outbound / top-of-funnel prospecting and closing deals
  • Sales experience in the Payments industry is preferred, sales experience in the Fintech industry is acceptable, all other technology sales experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis
  • Proven business and financial acumen
  • Intellectually curious and eager to learn.
  • Passionate about technology
  • Self-motivated, independent, driven, entrepreneurial
  • Kind and able to work optimally with colleagues
  • Knowledge of Salesforce
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize shifting workloads and responsibilities effectively
  • Fluency in English

What you'll be doing

  • Sell our full-stack payments solutions and services to merchants across the United States
  • Orchestrate the entire Sales process and act as the main point of contact for merchants and internal partners
  • Build a healthy pipeline by qualifying inbound leads and prospecting at events, through networking and other tactics, etc
  • Help prospects merchants evaluate Checkout.com and handle detailed questions about our product capabilities
  • Maintain a solid, well-organized portfolio and nurture key accounts
  • Partner with other Sales Managers to share best practices, key business insights and industry trends
  • Provide feedback on local trends including competitor insights, customer needs, sales, product and marketing information
