The Sr Staff Sales Operations Manager will be responsible for contributing to the success of the Grail Commercial team by employing analytics, management, technology and consultation. This role will be responsible for developing systems and analytics processes to ensure an efficient and effective experience for the Sales team, and for leading programs and projects within the sales operations function. This candidate should have very strong quantitative and program management skills, and be able to address complex topics with minimal support.

You Will

  • Provide data analysis and strategic problem solving to achieve commercial objectives. 
  • Lead development of a reporting and business intelligence program for various commercial stakeholders, in collaboration with Sales Leadership. 
  • Lead and maintain the sales alignment process, including optimal territory locations and boundaries. 
  • Manage and drive multiple vendor relationships across various programs and projects, with differing levels of complexity and stakeholder needs. 
  • Drive key programs within the Sales Operations function, with support from a cross functional team and vendors. 
  • Collaborate with IT and other cross functional teams to develop and maintain a Commercial database and master data management solution.
  • Help inform sales force size and structure recommendations for multiple products, and refine the sales HCP targeting methodology.
  • Calculate sales goals and administer an incentive program for the sales team.
  • Address questions from the sales team and sales management regarding performance, analytics, incentives, reports or other topics.

Your Background Should Include:

  • Ability to work out of Menlo Park office.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Bioinformatics or similar technical field or equivalent. Advanced degrees are a plus.
  • Successful track record in Commercial or Sales Operations, Management Consulting, Analytics, or related field.
  • 7+ years of analytics, operations or consulting experience required.
  • 2+ years of relevant diagnostics, pharmaceutical, or medical device experience. High level of proficiency in Excel, SQL or similar analytics / data manipulation tools. 
  • Experience working with HCP and / or patient-level data for enabling Commercial operations with Alignment, Targeting, CRM, Reporting, Sales Compensation, Analytics.
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM and/or reporting tools (Domo, Tableau) preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross functionally and present results to broader stakeholder audiences. 
  • Maintains an open, flexible, and positive can-do problem solving attitude.
