About the Role

As our Sales Development Manager, you will build a team of excellent developer-centric salespeople. You will both optimize the inbound funnel we have today, ensuring empathy and efficiency during the developer life cycle, and build the foundation of outbound pipeline generating activities in partnership with sales managers.

What you’ll do:

  • Build outbound pipeline in service to Mux's future revenue goals
  • Mentor a team of inbound Sales Development Reps, identify their strengths and areas for growth to partner with Sales Enablement and other Sales Managers to coach and grow skillsets
  • Grow a team into the right footprint of inbound and outbound reps focusing solely on pipeline generating activities in partnership with Account Executives and Sales Managers
  • Work closely with the Revenue and Marketing Ops team to inform a data-driven approach to optimizing our current inbound funnel
  • Partner with Product and the Developer Experience org to ensure alignment, efficiency, and delight along the developer onboarding journey
  • Work with sales leadership and BizOps to define new roles and comp plans

Who you are:

  • 3+ years of sales/business development leadership experience, preferably in more than one company; developer sales experience is a bonus
  • Prior sales experience in a closing role; developer sales experience is a bonus
  • Strong desire to learn a complex product and jump into technical details with the mindset of: “if the customer wins we win”
  • Self-starter with a proven track record of both creatively solving problems and exceeding sales targets
  • Ability to understand Mux’s products and communicate effectively with highly technical customers
