Senior Account Executive, Media Sales, San Francisco
At Volta we’re on a mission to accelerate the adoption of the electric vehicle. Volta creates city-wide free electric vehicle charging networks in major metropolitan areas. Our charging networks are free-to-use, free to our property partners, and monetized through brand sponsorships and digital media content.
We are seeking a Senior Account Executive to join our Media Sales team to help companies leverage Volta’s smart technology platform to reach key audiences, but help forward-thinking companies grow and communities transform. With your strong work ethic, hunter mentality, media sales experience, communication skills, and analytical abilities, combined with your passion for making a difference, you will help shape Volta’s vision.
The position is based in San Francisco, CA and will report directly to the VP of Media Sales, West.
Responsibilities:
- Develop new business through regular interactions with clients and proactively seek new partnership opportunities
- Develop and execute a strategic account approach, vertically and horizontally navigating both the direct client and agency relationships
- Develop a strong understanding of the client/agency business and demonstrate how the Volta offering can assist them to achieve their marketing and business objectives
- Conduct Senior Level storytelling presentations that highlight Volta’s unique value proposition
- Consistently meet or exceed individual quarterly sales targets
- Develop solid relationships with key decision makers at client and agency
- Effectively identify trends in the marketplace and share internally with sales management, marketing, and product teams
- Partner with Account Management and Client Service teams to achieve client’s objectives
- Effectively report on territory account development and sales progress via Salesforce
Qualifications:
- PASSION - for Volta, for sales and success
- 5+ years media experience
- Expert in strategic media sales including the ability to understand and effectively sell Volta’s smart technology platform
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as great listening skills
- Goal-oriented personality with a commitment to team success, and a strong work ethic and the ability to communicate best practices internally
- Detail-oriented, strong organizational skills, and the ability to be entrepreneurial, work independently and operate in an open and fluid environment
- Experience working in fast-paced, startup/growth stage companies a plus
- Forward thinker, self-starter, proactive, high energy and high integrity work habits
- Proficient in G suite, MS Office, Dropbox and Salesforce or similar CRM
