Senior Associate, Enterprise Risk Management
About the role
As the Senior Associate on the Enterprise Risk Management team you will support Chimeās processes to identify and escalate existential, strategic, emerging, and operational risk to senior leadership. This role will have a material impact on helping to build our Enterprise Risk Management program including risk assessment methodology, loss event modeling, key risk indicator (KRI) development, risk dashboarding, and risk treatment processes. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, a great communicator, and has the ability to influence through respect and trust. This role reports to the Manager of Enterprise Risk Management.
This job cannot be performed in the State of Colorado.
In this role, you can expect to
- Support the Manager of ERM regarding all aspects of the enterprise-wide risk management program. Responsibilities include:
- Facilitate the identification of risks throughout the organizationĀ
- Develop and implement risk policies, risk taxonomy, and risk assessment methodology
- Define risk appetites and thresholds for key risks
- Conduct scenario based risk analysis using quantitative methods (i.e., monte carlo simulation)Ā
- Develop models to identify and measure risk against key risk indicators (KRIs)
- Design and develop risk assessments, surveys, scorecards and reports using appropriate metrics such as: KRIs, loss event data, emerging risks, control effectiveness.Ā
- Build interactive reporting dashboards that will be used by leadership to evaluate Chimeās risk environment
- Develop and implement a process to document and track risk treatment plans
- Support special projects to evaluate and mitigate Strategic risks across Chime
- Assist the Manager of ERM coordinate Chimeās corporate insurance programs. Such as: assessment of coverage and policy options, management of relationships with third party service providers including brokers and insurers, and coordinating and responding to underwriter requests and audits.
To thrive in the role, you have
- A Bachelorās degree in a related field or commensurate work experience.
- 5+ years of experience in Enterprise or Strategic Risk Management.
- Quantitative skill set; ability to synthesize data and build automation for risk reporting across departments.
- An expert understanding of risk management with particular emphasis on Strategic and Emerging risks
- Knowledge of Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) tools.
- Excellent communication skills and can partner with multiple stakeholders, including senior executives.
- An understanding of relevant industry regulations and frameworks (e.g., COSO ERM, ISO 31000, etc.)
- A self-starter attitude, motivated by continuously solving hard problems
- The ability to travel (domestically and internationally).
