Senior Contracts Manager
Position Overview:
The Senior Contracts Manager is a member of the Contracts and Proposals team who works with multiple departments and teams within the organization to produce the requested contractual study-related legal documents. This is a role that requires an ability to work under pressure, to work quickly and efficiently with challenging deadlines, and to successfully manage a consistently high-volume workload. This role will serve as a single point of contact during the contract development process and will interact with internal endpoint staff, as well as client contacts.
This position can be based in endpoint’s San Francisco, CA office OR remotely west-coast based.
Responsibilities:
- Receive requests and manage the development/maintenance of contracts, such as Scopes of Work, and Change Orders
- Perform contract management tasks on medium to high complexity projects, as assigned
- Serve as the contract management lead by independently developing and reviewing Agreements
- Lead negotiations for all assigned Agreements with minimal management support
- Develop and negotiate medium to high complexity change orders with minimal management support, if any
- Follow-up on outstanding contract issues for resolution to meet internal and external deadlines and monthly revenue targeted goals
- Maintain and update internal and client-specific templates for all contracts, keeping templates aligned with internal branding, if needed
- Coordinate with internal departments to make ensure that billable work has the appropriate executed contract in place
- Owner of all aspects of the contract development and execution process for assigned/accountable opportunities, utilizing independent judgement and discretion for completion (inclusive of managing opportunities autonomously, establishing clear timelines, meeting client requirements and deadlines, escalating obstacles)
- Utilize excellent judgement skills and experience to review and analyze requests, including protocol draft/synopsis and other matters of significance, to confirm receipt of adequate and correct information to develop the necessary contractual document
- Adhere to policies and procedures for contract development and client interaction, including managing timelines to ensure timely execution of deliverables.
Serve as primary support and contact for assigned contract deliverables, including subsequent revisions, if requested - Provide leadership in drafting and reviewing contract content, utilizing discretion when reviewing provided guidance from a variety of additional stakeholders, including business development, marketing, product teams, finance, operations, and legal
- Collaboratively work with internal stakeholders to review and revise deliverables as needed
- Perform data entry into SalesForce
- Perform monthly reporting via SalesForce regarding team workload volume and monthly plan versus actual revenue reporting.
- Contribute to process improvements, updating and/or revising templates and processes as needed
- Manage workload to meet requested deadlines.
Provide leadership/mentorship/guidance to junior members of the department. - Demonstrate leadership when interacting with other members of the contracts team, providing guidance and acting as a resource for them, as well as taking lead on team-level initiatives or process enhancements.

Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in life sciences, business administration, finance, or related field.
Experience
- Proven ability in developing contractual documents within a complex pharmaceutical or CRO business environment.
- 3-5 years of experience developing executable contractual documents.
- 5+ years of experience in professional roles
- Strong Microsoft Office suite knowledge/familiarity
- SalesForce knowledge/familiarity
