What we are Looking for:

We are looking for a dynamic leader of Deal Desk that has industry experience in the software security space and is passionate about building our deal strategies and approaches from the ground up. The ideal candidate has experience on both the deal pricing and structuring front but also has the ability to set deal management strategies and roll out processes to support those strategies. This person is also passionate about serving and enabling our Sales teams to ensure all of our Deal processes make our teams highly productive. This team will also lead our RFx process with responsibilities for tool/process maintenance and all ensuring that teams are following our global processes. Experience building strong business partnering relationships with Sales, Finance and Legal is a must. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead our global deal desk program including establishing our overall objectives, global processes and ensuring our systems are aligned to our GTM objectives
  • Hire and lead a global team; Initially be comfortable being a player coach as we develop the team
  • Be the primary point of contact for sales teams on all deal-related matters to help find quality solutions to complex deal challenges including providing pricing guidance and compliant deal structure alternatives
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to seek inputs for complex deals including working closely with Finance and Legal on non-standard deals
  • Document the deal approvals and ensure we have a scalable process to a capture and store the approvals
  • Be an active member of the Sales team supporting all team members globally while maintaining a strong service level
  • Own our global RFx process including to ensure the processes are scalable and the system is maintained
  • Own and maintain our global quoting approval process and matrix; lead periodic reviews of our quoting approvals to ensure the process is aligned to our global GTM strategies
  • Partner with Finance to ensure key global processes related to our Deals are being followed
  • Review and approve global quotes that align to the Deal Desk authority levels
  • Document strategies and processes and build Sales facing content to ensure transparency in our processes that keeps our teams highly productive
  • Lead periodic competitive pricing analytics, development of field facing pricing guidance and work with Finance and Product Management to assist in setting pricing standards
  • Continuously work with the broader Revenue Operations teams to improve deal management processes

Skills & Experience

  • 10 - 12 years of experience supporting Sales in a deal pricing, structuring and support capacity
  • Ability to influence Sales teams and build strong collaborative relationships across multiple functions
  • Ability to listen to the needs of the Field, problem solve to find quality solutions and escalate as needed 
  • The startup builder mentality of not only working on deals but also setting up deal management strategies and processes for scale to support future growth
  • Curiosity to go beyond the basics to really understand our GTM strategies to ensure our deal management strategies and processes are aligned 
  • Self motivated and the ability to show initiative and follow through on tasks and assignments
  • The ability to work with Revenue Accounting & Legal to understand our revenue guidelines and ensure deals are structured accordingly
  • Strong verbal and written skills with an emphasis on the ability to summarize and translate complex needs of the field
  • Bachelor degree in Finance, Management, Technology or Economics; MBA a plus
  • Required experience with G-Suite, Salesforce.com, Loopio, Clari and Excel modeling; experience with NetSuite and advanced business analytics tools (like Tableau) a plus
