What we are looking for:

We're looking for a talented full stack developer who is driven by a passion to create beautiful and engaging experiences. You should have a deep understanding of modern web architectures from frontend to backend, including API-driven single page application architecture.  As a core member of growth team, you will be pushing out code that reaches a large audience and will be able to see the results of your features immediately. You are driven by data and you are adept at running experiments. You share the value of education to transform lives and create new potential in the world.

Responsibilities of the role:

• Partner closely with product managers and designers to plan & scope projects
• Review product specs with a focus on improving engagement metrics and user impact
• Deliver high quality code in a rapid iteration and experimentation environment
• Write & review technical specs for the engineering team
• Provide accurate estimates of effort and delivery timelines
• Growth mindset to improve the practices and processes of a growing organization

Requirements

• 2-5+ years of experience working with Ruby / Rails, Python, Java, Golang, Protocol Buffers or similar web tech stack.
• 2-5+ years of experience working with Javascript, React, ES6, SASS 
• 2-5+ years of experience working with relational DB such as MySQL, Postgres or Redshift. 
• Experience shipping fast, reliable, real-time applications using modern development technologies.
• Deep understanding of the tools that power marketing automation, experimentation, personalization, attribution, and analytics.
• Expertise in implementing third-party tools and integrating them in first-party applications:
  • Segment, Optimizely, Iterable, Google Analytics, or similar products.
• Ability to effectively communicate across cross-functional teams.
