This highly visible cross-functional role plays a pivotal role in the success of the Sage Intacct Budget and Planning (SIBP) solution. In this role, the resource will develop a repeatable solution for presenting the strengths of SIBP providing presentation and demonstration excellence in the VAR partner channel. As a critical part of the SIBP opportunity growth, partner sells and customer adoption, the role will help develop positioning for SIBP and solutions to be leverage by the channel partners. The focus will be on our world-class demo assets and techniques. This role will help Sage Intacct customers expand the adoption of the SIBP product offering and are responsible for evoking confidence in Sage Intacct's functionality and technology infrastructure and helping teach partners how to remove objections in the sales cycle regarding FP&A. The role will collaborate with VAR partners, Channel Executives, VP of the region and partner enablement in sales cycles and is primarily responsible for:

  • Defining the process for gathering business requirements regarding SIBP
  • Suggesting, positioning, and presenting Sage Intacct product offerings and partner solutions to solve customer business budgeting and planning requirements
  • Prepare and present impactful presentations that clearly articulate Sage Intacct's SIBP value
  • Create assets that are effective and repeatable for the channel and channel partners

 

Responsibilities:

  • Support new, add-on, and renewal opportunities with the objective of expanding Sage Intacct product adoption and reducing product/customer churn
  • Increase partner product knowledge and confidence of SIBP 
  • Clearly articulate the benefits of Sage Intacct's solutions to all levels including lines of business managers and "C" level executives
  • Understand customer requirements/needs and establish Sage Intacct's solution to address their need
  • Develop, present, and deliver high-impact demonstrations of the Sage Intacct solution
  • Support the VAR channel in the production of high-quality sales proposals and supporting materials
  • Meet quarterly and annual quota objectives working in tandem with the channel
  • Provide input to other cross-functional departments pertaining to prospect requests and product enhancements as needed
  • Assist partners as needed with prospect facing product demos
  • Provide input into SC demo training for SIBP
  • Support partner RFP process
  • Participate in Webinars and opportunity creation activities

 

Requirements:

  • 5 years experience as a pre-sales engineer with implementation consulting or customer support for an accounting or financial software application
  • Experience with budgeting and planning applications like Solver, Martus, Adaptive, Host, or other budget and planning solutions
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, finance, accounting, business or related fields
  • 10+ years of in-depth knowledge of accounting (or demonstrable experience of accounting processes)
  • 5 years of experience selling budgeting and planning solutions
  • Proven track record of increasing deal size and accelerating the sales cycle
  • Successful quota achievement
  • Familiar with internet application software, XML, and web services
