TRR is looking for an experienced Sales leader who will bring excellence in people management coupled with operational rigor to help us design and scale our new business only sales team. The sales leader will pilot a new training program for our sales team and is responsible for coaching and driving a team of sales representatives to increase new consignor growth and achieve monthly sales quotas. The ideal candidate is a sales leader with a proven record of driving results above plan, is process oriented, understands relationship selling, has a clear vision for the team and experience using data and technology to drive results. You are responsible for cultivating training materials and strategies, oversight on training implementation and measuring the success of the program. In collaboration with the sales team, sales operations, and the department head, the manager will help design the repeatable sales process from a sales management perspective, help design the right CRM flow to support it, ensure follow-through regarding onboarding, ongoing education and assessing competencies of trainees. Must possess the ability to analyze reports, uncover areas of improvement, develop innovative solutions, and implement the strategies to ensure the team is performing at a high level. This role reports to the Sr. Director, Sales Training and Development.

What You Get To Do Every Day

  • Lead a team of 8-12 sales reps to achieve their monthly new business sales quotas.
  • Develops and implements sales strategy to achieve new consignor goals and monthly KPIs
  • Directs and assists the sales team in securing and processing luxury products from discerning clientele to meet monthly quotas.
  • Directs prospecting development activity and coordinates sales activities by establishing sales opportunities, quotas, and goals.
  • Document and track training, evaluations, notes and follow-ups for monthly, quarterly and annual reporting.
  • Work proactively to identify training opportunities and leverage your set of skills and external resources, when necessary, to secure a positive result.
  • Work with Sales operations to create and analyze reports in Salesforce to assess overall team performance, trends, and areas for improvements. 
  • Manage team’s day to day activities to ensure the team is performing at high levels across all categories and is following protocol in processing, pricing, and consignor communication. 
  • Responsible for increasing team performance, the consigned value brought in, and driving strategy. 
  • Coach your team in effective sales strategies, pipeline management, opportunity management and career planning
  • Drive internal process improvement. 
  • Partner with the director to analyze the program performance and define appropriate opportunities for improvement. 
  • Hire, train current team members on new processes and systems and to ensure adoption. Train and guide new hires during onboarding
  • Develop a deep understanding of business drivers in targeted sectors as well as knowledge of optimal positioning in the marketplace
  • Investigate industry trends, understand market conditions, and develop strategies to stay ahead of the competition

What You Bring To The Role

  • You have 2+ years managing a team of 5 or more
  • You have 5+ years relevant sales experience 
  • Successful track record in sales prior to assuming leadership role is required
  • Experience with growing a successful territory consistent with the aggressive growth goals of TRR
  • Ability to thrive and be agile in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Seasoned in performance coaching; setting goals and objectives; gives performance feedback; motivates for increased results; recognizes contributions; encourages training and development
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to to articulate a vision, strategy or idea clearly to the team
  • Experienced in working at both strategic and tactical levels. Possess the ability to pull/analyze reports, identify areas of improvement, develop strategies, and implement.
  • Proven ability in interviewing and hiring employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems 
  • Ability to create impactful content across organization levels that enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of all.
  • Strong Business acumen with the ability to display orientation to profitability, demonstrates knowledge of market and competition, and aligns work with strategic goals
  • Proficient in Salesforce required
  • Knowledge of luxury products is a plus
