The Sales Development Representative role at Bolt is the cornerstone of Bolt’s Sales team. You will work directly with our sales reps, who will teach and mentor you on how to seek new business opportunities by engaging potential customers and providing the value of Bolt. 


Success in this role is dependent on organization, time management, and prospecting. As strategic level companies focus more on online commerce (ie Forever 21, LuLuLemon, Home Depot, Nike), the SDR will play a pivotal role in driving top-of-funnel pipeline for the Account Executive team. 


As an SDR not only will you exclusively work with our most important accounts, but more importantly you will have access and invaluable insights to enterprise sales experience. We are strong believers in technology, and the impact that good technology can have on people’s lives, and want to work with others who feel that passion too. Responsibilities:

  • Generate new pipeline for our Account Executives through prospect engagements (cold calling, email outreach,LinkedIn, direct mail, field events, networking, etc.)
  • Owning the initial outreach to prospects in order to educate them on the value of the Bolt and Identity Powered Commerce
  • Develop a territory plan with your SAE counterparts to break into named accounts
  • Track your data and report your weekly sales results to your peers and manager 

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of e-commerce related experience - you will be engaging with senior level executives of the largest brands in the world and should be able to talk the talk
  • CRM Proficiency - at Bolt we operate with Salesforce but understand that not all companies use Salesforce. However being proficient in a CRM tool is a non-negotiable
  • Outbound experience (cold calling, email, LinkedIn, social, field events) - for the strategic level role the fundamentals are non-negotiable
  • Grit - we need people who are relentlessly persistent, and aren’t afraid of rejection
  • Strong attention to detail - we have big goals and need people who will ensure that we are accurately tracking our data
  • Results oriented - you are always looking for ways to improve your process or use your time more effectively to overachieve quota
  • Ambition - one of our values is “Be 20% Wrong.” We want people who look for innovative solutions to problems. Making a mistake is a learning opportunity
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills to accurately explain Bolt’s value proposition
