Due to continued growth within Zoom's Global Architect Team, the Technical Sales Strategy Lead will be a new and exciting role representing and supporting the Global Architect team. We are seeking a leader to define, design and drive technical selling strategies to drive growth for Zoom’s global sales organization. This involves proactively identifying and planning with cross functional leaders to define our go to market business plans and identifying cross functional interdependencies to create and deliver strategic customer driven product specific content/messaging and provide an escalation point for our account teams in strategic pre-sales customer engagements. . The primary goal of the role is to provide support for sales and revenue generating activities.

This role is intended to be very strategic as you create & drive internal awareness & create presales technical go to market pre sales messaging and initiatives. It will be critical that this leader owns partnering with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Sales & Communications teams to capitalize on significant market momentum.


The Role And Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Global GTM leadership to create high-impact presentations to provide pre-sales technical support for the development and implementation of complex products/applications/solutions.

  • Oversee and lead the team of technical content creators 

  • Perform in-depth and high-level technical presentations for customers, partners and prospects in support of sales/revenue generating activities

  • Provide guidance and assist sales teams in building solutions to address specific customer needs and champion customer demand/features globally 

  • Ensure that the Global Architect team strategy and charter is refined, operationalized, measured and communicated

  • Create strong cross-functional relationships with key business partners across the sales, customer success, channel sales, solutions engineering, marketing, and product organization to help establish a culture of cross-functional cooperation and alignment

  • Drive identified major account opportunities (i.e. - technical consulting, upper level management presentations, and Zoom technology solutions) while allowing account team to maintain long-term ownership 

  • Influence decision making within executive audiences

  • Handle business, technical, personnel and pre-sales customer escalations from the team


Skills/Qualifications

  • 10 years of experience in go-to-market function for a Software/SaaS technology company

  • 5+ years in a customer facing technical role required

  • Experience in other roles such as Project Management or Product Marketing

  • BS / BA degree preferred; Advanced degree preferred

  • Strong communicator with executive presence

  • Ability to present topics in a clear and concise manner to many levels of technical skill sets and audience sizes

  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to influence at the highest levels

  • Strong people development and leadership skills; able to manage multiple extended or virtual teams

  • Collaborative team player who also knows how to ‘get things done’

  • Self-starter who thrives and can multitask in fast-paced and often ambiguous environments

  • High energy, strong work ethic
