The Opportunity

As the VP, Corporate Development, you will be a partner to the C-suite owning critical pieces of our strategic roadmap and M&A execution. Unity, as the leader in RT3D technology, has the opportunity to shape the way our users experience the world, and in that vision lies unlimited potential in not only user acquisition but also market expansion. You will use your experience with user-focused hyper-growth companies to accelerate our expansion, and in collaboration with executive leadership, you will help craft our corporate development strategy by identifying trends, building relationships with external partners, and capitalizing on user insights, as well as identifying opportunities for M&A and strategic investments across Unity's businesses and global portfolio.

What you'll be doing

  • Partner with the executive team and product teams to develop strategies and identify acquisition and investment opportunities
  • Lead the corporate development function—including, but not limited to—identifying and evaluating acquisitions, JVs, minority investments, and other pivotal initiatives
  • Build support for your strategic recommendations by driving for alignment with senior leadership and cross-functional partners
  • Drive the deal pipeline and support all aspects of a transaction from idea generation through valuation
  • Lead cross-functional diligence teams through detailed processes
  • Own our strategic roadmap, including new business, business model innovation, and M&A
  • Build and manage a team to grow with Unity

What we're looking for

  • High proficiency and competence in leading corporate development for a high-growth public organization
  • Proven success completing buy-side M&A transactions and equity investments in the technology sector with 15+years of experience
  • Strong understanding of deal process and points of friction in a transaction with a history of resolving them
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills as well as strong collaboration skills
  • Ability to handle projects with multiple priorities and workstreams, with proven success over a variety of business problems
  • Talent for structuring and leading sophisticated cross-enterprise projects and processes with multiple partner levels

You might also have

  • Combined management consulting and in-house experience spanning start-up environments and high-growth public organizations
  • A track record of success evaluating and growing simulation, RT3D, or gaming organizations
