Calm’s Consultant Relations team is committed to expanding access to mental health resources by building products for employers and the healthcare industry that drive positive health and business outcomes. Our suite of solutions include HIPAA-compliant resources, clinical programs, data and analytics tools, leadership and development workshops, and connectivity to an employer's physical health programs. We are hiring remote workers located in the Southeastern United States. At this time, only candidates residing in this region will be considered.

What You’ll Do

The Senior Consultant Relations Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing a regional strategy with Consulting firms to grow Calm’s employer sponsored healthcare business. In this highly influential and important role, the Consultant Relations Manager will work to open doors to Consultants while educating them on our products, services, and solutions through articulation of Calm’s value proposition. This role reports directly to the VP, Consultant Relations and works closely with the Consultant Operations team  and Sales Executive team to leverage our core offerings, build long term relationships and provide thought leadership. This role provides autonomy and an opportunity to influence and impact Calm’s future growth. This person should have strong market  knowledge with the ability to showcase the specific value of Calm’s  products to Consultants while developing and maintaining relationships to achieve Calm’s goals:

  • Showcase expertise with Calm’s products, solutions and services to the Consultant marketplace 
  • Effectively articulate Calm’s tangible economic value, linkage to business drivers and key performance indicators
  • Target prospective Consultants, through a multichannel approach, including phone, e-mail, social media, networking events, and conferences/ events.  Possess the ability to collaborate, team with, find compromise, and build consensus with regional Sales Executives, leadership, and internal stakeholders to leverage Calm’s resources
  • Develop a trusting and mutually beneficial relationship with Consultants while promoting business growth and balancing selling efforts across the market
  • Generate and influence a significant portion of Calm’s pipeline in your respective region that leads to booked revenue growth

Who You Are

  • Experience facilitating successful relationship building within benefits consulting firms 
  • Strong executive level selling, relationships, and presentation skills 
  • Knowledge of sales principles and techniques to build a sales pipeline and support the deal through the sales lifecycle
  • Ability to creatively overcome objectives, remove barriers and turn these into opportunities
  • A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace
  • Deep understanding of the buying cycle that employers utilize to make investments in benefits and health management programs 
  • Intimate knowledge of how consultants fit into and support this buying cycle and the decisions employers make
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic, fast paced, and evolving business while effectively managing multiple priorities
  • Ability to communicate and influence at all levels of a consulting firm and employer client organizations
  • Possess strong cross-functional integration & collaboration skills
  • High intellectual curiosity and emotional intelligence

Minimum Requirements

  • This role typically requires 8 years of Sales and/or Account Management experience in a health benefits focused organization
  • Our ideal candidate profile is a former consultant, has worked and built deep relationships in a prior Consultant Relations role, or has had significant success in selling health management/benefits solutions through the large market consultant channel 

The on target earnings for this role is $260,000 annualized with a 65/35 split between base pay and incentive compensation. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate’s skills, experience, and other qualifications. This role is also eligible for equity + comprehensive benefits + 401k + flexible time off.
