Why You’ll Love This Role

Cribl is a rapidly growing technology company on a mission to unlock the value of all observability data. We foster an inclusive, values-driven culture where all belong, and embrace a remote-first strategy to empower people to do their best work from anywhere.

As we prepare for our next phase of growth—including IPO readiness—we are seeking an exceptional Senior Director of Total Rewards to lead and scale our global compensation and benefits strategy. This is a pivotal role, responsible for maturing our rewards governance, partnering closely with our Compensation Committee, and driving key initiatives like EU Pay Transparency and Workday Advanced Compensation implementation. The right candidate will combine strategic clarity, operational excellence, and clear communication to support a complex, global workforce.

As An Active Member Of Our Team, You Will…

  • In your first 6–12 months, you will:
    • Lead Compensation Committee preparation: Partner with Legal, Finance, and executive leadership to prepare materials, advise on compensation recommendations, and execute post-meeting actions
    • Own EU Pay Transparency strategy: Drive readiness, analysis, and implementation in partnership with Legal and regional stakeholders
    • Lay groundwork to implement Workday Advanced Compensation, ensuring system requirements align with business needs and drive manager self-service at scale
    • Work with our Senior Benefit Manager to implement a new Benefit Broker and technology solutions to support Benefits Admin
  • Longer-term responsibilities include:
    • Scale and evolve our global compensation and benefits strategy to support Cribl’s growth and IPO-readiness
    • Design and manage equitable, competitive compensation structures—comprising cash, equity, and bonus programs—anchored in global market data and internal equity
    • Maintain and refine job architecture, leveling frameworks, and compensation governance
    • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, Legal, and People Business Partners to deliver competitive offers and total rewards strategies aligned with Cribl’s compensation philosophy
    • Lead and mentor a growing team across compensation and benefits functions, including strategic integration of global benefits into Total Rewards\
    • We are a remote-first company and work happens across many time-zones – you may be required to occasionally perform duties outside your standard working hours

If You’ve Got It - We Want It

  • 8+ years in Total Rewards leadership, with deep expertise in compensation design, governance, and global scaling
  • Experience supporting Compensation Committees and executive compensation processes
  • Proven track record of executing at both strategic and operational levels, including building programs, owning systems (e.g., Workday Advanced Comp), and driving compliance
  • Strong business orientation: frames recommendations in terms of risk, scalability, and business goals—not just best practices
  • Exceptional communication skills: able to influence across functions and levels, and translate complex ideas into clear business language
  • Global experience and familiarity with regional compliance frameworks (especially EU pay transparency) strongly preferred
  • IPO or pre-IPO experience is a strong plus
  • BONUS POINTS:
    • Experience leading rewards strategy in a remote-first, high-growth tech environment
    • Familiarity with Cribl’s tech stack or industry peers
    • Strong data acumen with ability to leverage insights for business impact
