Reporting to the Director of Reporting & Technical Accounting, the Senior Manager of SOX Program Management will be responsible for guiding management’s efforts to demonstrate effective business process controls over the annual SOX compliance cycle.
About this roll* (Responsibilities)
- Build out and formalize management's programmatic efforts for the annual SOX compliance cycle (business process), including timelines for each phase, and stakeholder communication plan
- Project manage the business process side of the annual SOX compliance cycle, which involves a broad constituency including leadership, process owners, control owners, and internal and external auditors
- Create and implement an approach to assess opportunities for key control rationalization, and conduct targeted deep dive efforts to support process and control owners improve efficiency
- Establish and stand-up process for up-skilling process owners, control owners, and key business process stakeholders through structured training and effective communication strategy
- Develop, design and implement tools and materials to support process and control owners in the understanding of and execution of control objectives and activities
- Partner with the Internal Audit team to support controls owners with the the knowledge they need to perform their roles, including advisory on appropriate documentation for controls, changes to control operations and by delivering targeted education on relevant topics
- Collaborate with process and controls owners to analyze, evaluate, and enhance business processes, and their documentation
- Partner with process and control owners to respond to findings and potential deficiencies in controls identified by internal and external audit, including helping to frame management’s response, develop and track remediation plans and communications
- Partner with internal and external auditors to help coordinate audit requests, including walkthroughs and testing
Do you have the right ingredients*? (Requirements)
- 8+ years of experience with a degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA or CIA designation
- Experience working in public accounting as an external auditor of companies subject to SOX
- Experience working at or on behalf of an SEC registrant with a successful SOX program
- Deep experience and expertise with internal controls over financial reporting, including using a risk-based approach to evaluate the interplay of controls with the objective of rationalization and modernization
- Extensive knowledge of GAAP, COSO, Sarbanes Oxley Act, and PCAOB Rules and experienced in the use of auditing and assessment frameworks and the application of professional standards
- Ability to evaluate and document control deficiencies utilizing the applicable assessment frameworks

- Experience working at a high-growth SaaS and/or Fintech company
- Experience with AuditBoard
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, professional skepticism, with the ability to work autonomously.
- Experience working with various levels of management, building strong relationships and influencing others without formal authority

The base salary range for this role is listed below. The starting salary will be determined based on skills and experience. In addition to base salary, our total rewards components include cash compensation (overtime, bonus/commissions if eligible), equity, and benefits.
Pay Range
$136,000—$218,000 USD
