Senior Product Manager, Catalog 

As a Senior Product Manager at DataHub, you will work cross-functionally to help guide products from ideation to launch by connecting the technical needs of users and the business needs of our company. You will help define the vision, goals, and strategy we pursue in concert with engineers, designers, sales, and partners that move the practice of analytics engineering forward.

Catalog is the central product offering of DataHub today, with constituents across 13,000 open source community members as well as paying customers from some of the largest companies in the world. In this role, you’ll be responsible for building a roadmap that is grounded in market research, prioritizes the right features at the right time, and delivers value to our diverse stakeholders. 

In this role, you can expect to:

  • Define the vision, goals, strategy, tactics and roadmap for our catalog product
  • Study, research, and understand the data ecosystem, with a specific focus on user requirements, market potential, and competitive landscape
  • Serve as the accountable owner for delivering measurable business and customer outcomes; working closely with designers to create intuitive, elegant user experiences for technical and non-technical personas
  • Create tight feedback loops with customers who are depending on DataHub to run their data environments so that the product evolves toward the needs of these stakeholders
  • Translate ambiguous user problems into well-scoped product initiatives with clear definitions of success
  • Execute cross-functionally to launch new product experiences, improve existing features, test effectiveness of workflows, and facilitate GTM motions
  • Inspire teams of people to achieve great things together, while also tying the roadmap within a domain to broader product strategy goals and company goals

You are a good fit if you have:

  • 4+ years of experience in product management or related function
  • Previous experience working on Products with PLG or self-serve growth motion
  • Deeply quantitative and enjoy rolling up your sleeves and exploring the data and connecting it to strategic initiatives
  • Experience in the data space, using or building data tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communicator

You'll have an edge if you have:

  • Previous experience working with the modern data stack (Fivetran, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Spark, dbt, Looker, PowerBI, etc)
  • Previous experience working with data catalogs (Collibra, Alation) and metadata systems
  • Comfortable discussing, explaining and reasoning about data catalog best practices and expansion opportunities
