The fastest-growing sports gaming company – ever.

We build innovative games, products, and experiences for American sports fans.

We’re here to shake up the fastest growing industry with bold ideas, custom-built tech, and the drive to win.

Founded in 2020, our team has built four of today’s most widely played fantasy games and launched the Underdog Sportsbook – built entirely in-house with our own technology. That means we control our product, move fast, and create experiences you won’t find anywhere else.

In just over two years, we’ve reached over a $1.2 billion valuation, with investors like BlackRock, Spark Capital, SV Angel, Mark Cuban, Kevin Durant, and Adam Schefter. And we’re just getting started.

At Underdog, we believe that sports are for everyone. Join us.

About the role and why it’s unique:
  • Work closely with an engineering team and designers to build incredible products by utilizing your knowledge of customer needs, business strategy and technology.
  • Define and prioritize a product roadmap, focusing on one vertical.
  • Partner with your manager and peers to set product strategy, identify and introduce new products, while ensuring that our existing offerings provide great end-to-end experiences for customers.
  • Leverage data and customer insights to identify customer pain points and opportunities.
  • Enable fast development speed by writing and maintaining clear product requirement documentation and responding to developer questions in a timely manner.
  • Set success metrics for new features/products and track metrics post launch to guide iterative improvements.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of responsible gaming best practices.
  • Keep up to date with the latest technologies and the competitive environment.
Who you are:
  • 6+ years of product management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience making difficult trade-off decisions, driving high delivery velocity and working on loosely-defined problems.
  • Experience leveraging both quantitative and qualitative information to proactively identify ways for your product to deliver on business goals/KPI’s.
  • An experimentation mindset centered around forming clear hypotheses and creating ways to quickly validate new ideas.
  • An expert at transforming conflicting or ambiguous inputs from customers and stakeholders into clear and actionable plans.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to create a culture of inclusion and empathy within your team, creating a safe space for open and honest communication.
Even better if you have:
  • Experience in a high-growth start-up or scale-up
  • Experience working within a regulated industry

What you need to know about the San Francisco Tech Scene

San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area attracts more startup funding than any other region in the world. Home to Stanford University and UC Berkeley, leading VC firms and several of the world’s most valuable companies, the Bay Area is the place to go for anyone looking to make it big in the tech industry. Key Facts About San Francisco Tech

  • Major Tech Employers: Google, Apple, Salesforce, Meta
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, fintech, consumer technology, software
  • Funding Landscape: $50.5 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Bessemer Venture Partners, Greylock Partners, Khosla Ventures, Kleiner Perkins
  • Research Centers and Universities: Stanford University; University of California, Berkeley; University of San Francisco; Santa Clara University; Ames Research Center; Center for AI Safety; California Institute for Regenerative Medicine
