As a Senior Systems Engineer on the Enterprise Engineering team, you will be responsible for building and iterating on processes and workflows to enhance the overall employee experience at Vanta. The Enterprise Engineering team is an employee-facing team with a mission to provide Vanta'ns with a secure and stellar experience with the tools and technologies they need to do their best work, regardless of where they are.

What you’ll do as a Senior Systems Engineer at Vanta:

• Live and breathe all things systems at Vanta with a special focus on Atlassian systems

• Architect, design, deploy, processes, workflows, and automations in Jira

• Supporting and deploying JSM projects with highly sensitive data

• Deploying and supporting configurations of jira assets

• Expertise in confluence deployment, space structure, macros, features and automation

• Supporting loom platform and supporting users

• Expertise in jira add-ons such as but not limited to: JEMH, custom charts, structure, etc.

• Assist cross functional stakeholders with implementing and enforcing policies on systems

• Develop scripts and workflows to assist in automation of tasks

• Act as an escalation point for teammates on the Ops team

• Create and maintain procedures, standards, and documentation related to areas of responsibility

• Turn business requirements into technical solutions

How to be successful in this role:

• Have experience with application administration of various productivity tools and platforms

• Expertise in administering and building out workflows and automations in Jira

• Have experience with various CLI tools and various programming/scripting languages (GAM, Python, Bash)

• Have advanced knowledge API integration work with Atlassian

• Have experience working in high-growth companies with rapidly shifting IT needs

• Can communicate effectively and be able to break down complex problems into easily digestible tasks

• Quick learner and able to adapt to meet business needs

• Thinking outside the box for creative solutions to complex problems
