About the role

The Senior Technical Marketing Manager will own all product demonstration content, technical storytelling, and technical details to support sales enablement materials that bridge our Product/Engineering teams with our Go-To-Market organization. Reporting to our VP of Growth, this role is pivotal in translating complex AI security capabilities into compelling narratives that resonate with CISOs, SOC Directors, and security practitioners. You'll drive measurable improvements in demo conversion, sales effectiveness, and competitive differentiation through world-class video content, interactive product experiences, and technical enablement materials.

What you'll do

  • Own and continuously enhance our self-guided demo with scenario-based paths showcasing product capabilities across enterprise SOC and MSSP use cases
  • Produce quarterly video content including feature demos, integration showcases, use case narratives, and short-form content for campaigns and social channels.
  • Design and build all conference demo environments for major industry events (RSA, Black Hat, AWS re:Inforce) that create "wow moments" and demonstrate clear differentiation.
  • Build documentation and tutorials on how to use some of our more advanced features like custom instructions.
  • Create technical content including blog posts, whitepapers, solution briefs, competitive positioning materials, and ROI/value assessment tools.
  • Work hand in hand with product marketing on sales enablement materials, including demo best practices, technical battle cards, objection handling resources, and training programs for Account Executives and Sales Engineers.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Management on go-to-market strategy, Marketing on campaign creative, Sales Engineering on demo effectiveness, and Engineering on technical accuracy.
  • Track and optimize content performance metrics including video engagement rates, demo completion rates, and conversion impact on pipeline generation.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in technical marketing, solutions engineering, or product marketing in the SIEM, SOAR, or SOC cybersecurity space.
  • Security certifications or hands-on SOC/incident response experience a plus.
  • Prior experience marketing AI/ML products, particularly in security or IT operations domains.
  • Familiarity with enterprise security tool ecosystems and how products integrate via APIs and webhooks.
  • Deep understanding of security operations technology including SIEM, EDR, SOAR, IR workflows, and SOC challenges.
  • Advanced video production skills with proficiency in screen recording tools (Loom, Camtasia), video editing software (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, Descript), and motion graphics.
  • Hands-on experience with interactive demo platforms (ProductFruits, Storylane, Walnut, or similar) including setup, customization, and analytics.
  • Technical writing ability to create clear, credible content that resonates with senior security leaders and technical practitioners.
  • Experience supporting enterprise cybersecurity sales cycles with technical content, video materials, and enablement resources.
  • Strong demonstrated critical thinking, ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences, and proven experience driving measurable content performance improvements
  • Early-stage startup mindset. You thrive on ambiguity and move with lightspeed execution
  • Being data-driven is part of your DNA.

Work Environment/Travel

We are a 100% remote company where you will work from your home with company-provided equipment to set you up for success. Semi-frequent travel to professional office settings and other events locally and nationally; some overnight travel expected.

Compensation

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range below, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. If you are hired at Dropzone your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth. We also offer a generous benefits package, including company paid health insurance, 401K Plan with employer match, Self-Managed PTO, parental leave, and more.
