Argyle is an established, remote-first startup solving a systemic data problem.

Underneath the consumer finance industry’s decisions and processes is static, analog documentation—things like credit reports and paystubs, designed decades ago for a world that no longer exists. Meanwhile, credit bureaus buy, move, store, and sell consumers’ data without their knowledge or consent.

The result? A labyrinth of manual workflows and shortsighted underwriting models that obstruct financial access, compound operational costs, and impede innovation.

The solution is Argyle. We’re a real-time income data platform that lets our end-users instantly connect their employment records to apps and websites, so they can access and qualify for the financial resources they need to get ahead. Providers benefit from streamlined workflows and enhanced visibility that reduce costs and risk across the user journey.

Our mission is to give consumers the means to exercise ownership over their income, employment, and identity data in order to create a more equal, efficient, and effective financial system for everybody.

If you’re looking to join a fun and ambitious group of people working remotely across dozens of countries, backed by the likes of MasterCard and Checkr, apply today.

The Role

Tired of the old-school credit system? We are too. Argyle is shaking things up by giving consumers back control of their data. We've built a real-time income data platform that lets people instantly share their employment records with apps and websites. This helps them get ahead financially, while businesses get a clearer, more efficient view of their customers.

As a Scanner Engineer, you'll be on the front lines, creating and maintaining the crucial integrations that make our platform work. This isn't your average dev job—you'll be a reverse engineering pro, diving into web and mobile apps to solve complex problems daily. You'll be a core part of a pivotal team, and your work will directly impact our success.

If you're into solving puzzles, love a good challenge, and want to work with a global team of smart, ambitious people, this is for you.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Build It & Own It: You'll create and maintain payroll integrations from start to finish.
  • Innovate: Improve our shared libraries and frameworks to keep our tech stack sharp.
  • Collaborate: Work with product managers, data analysts, and other pros to build the best possible solutions.

Your Stack

Our main language is Python. We use libraries like Celery, Playwright, and BeautifulSoup. uv and pandas are always around. We're all about Docker, Kubernetes, GCP, and Github. Don't know all of them? No stress. We'll help you get up to speed.

What We’re Looking For

  • You've got Python skills.
  • You're a whiz at reverse engineering JS, web, and mobile apps.
  • Experience with building integrations is awesome, but we'll take a curiosity to learn any day.
  • You're a team player who can adapt and think fast.
  • You take ownership of your work and focus on finding solutions, not just problems.

Bonus points for:

  • Experience with bypassing bot detection systems and Captcha challenges.
  • Knowledge of the AI ecosystem and prompt engineering.

Why Argyle?

We're a remote-first company with a global team. We offer flexible hours, stock options, and Flexible time off. Plus, you get a new MacBook to do your best work. We're committed to building a diverse and inclusive team, because the more different we are, the stronger we get.
