The Role
We are looking for a Software Product Manager who is excited to shape the future of cloud bioprocessing. In this role, you will own the strategy, roadmap, and execution for Console, our core software product that customers use to design, run, monitor, analyze and optimize bioprocessing workflows. You will collaborate closely with Engineering, Design, Operations, Field Application Specialists, and Hardware teams to ensure Console not only delights users but also scales with Culture’s expanding customer base. This is a hands-on role spanning discovery, prioritization, delivery, and adoption.

What you'll do:
  • Own the strategy, roadmap, and execution for the Console product, driving alignment across stakeholders and ensuring strong adoption.
  • Serve as the voice of the user by conducting user interviews, synthesizing insights, and championing a high-quality user experience. 
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering and Design to prioritize, develop, test, and launch features that align with company goals and solve real user needs.
  • Partner with Operations and Field Application Specialists to strengthen product adoption and continuously improve reliability, observability, and incident response.
  • Prototype and validate ideas quickly, iterating based on feedback to enhance user workflows and overall product experience.
  • Define, track, and analyze key product metrics to measure success, uncover opportunities, and guide data-driven decision-making
  • Create clear documentation, demos, and communication materials to keep internal and external stakeholders aligned and informed.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a Computer Science, BIological Sciences or related field
  • 3+ years software product management experience, ideally in SaaS or platform products
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive results in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
  • Strong communicator, adept at explaining complex decisions and balancing detail with strategic vision.
Nice-to-have:
  • Experience bringing 0->1 products to market
  • Experience working with LIMS/ELN, SCADA/DCS, IoT devices, or automated systems.
  • Familiarity with process development, scale-up, PAT (Process Analytical Technology), or GMP environments
  • Experience w/ GenAI tools and effective integration of those capabilities in software workflows..

Location & Schedule:

  • This is a hybrid position. We’re looking for someone based in the San Francisco Bay Area who is able to work in person at our office in South San Francisco 2-3 days per week

Base Salary Range:

  • Culture Biosciences's compensation package includes market competitive salary, equity for all full time roles, and great benefits. If you are located in the San Francisco Bay Area, our expected cash compensation for this role is $150,000 - $180,000. We are hiring for multiple levels and backgrounds so final offers may vary within the range provided based on experience, expertise, and other factors
