About You

As a Solutions Architect at Obviously AI, you will be pivotal in guiding customers through their AI journey. Your role will involve managing AI projects, understanding customer needs, and ensuring seamless delivery of our services.

Here are some of the qualities we look for in a perfect hire:

  • Solid understanding of artificial intelligence and machine learning principles, including model building, testing, and deployment.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during project execution.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to understand and articulate customer needs and convey complex technical concepts in an accessible manner.
  • Experience working with diverse teams, including data scientists, sales, and product development.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers, fostering trust and ensuring satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct customer onboarding, set clear expectations, establish timelines, and maintain regular check-ins to achieve customer goals.
  • Ensure timely delivery of a functioning AI model by aligning customer expectations with the data science team.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve roadblocks, provide AI strategy suggestions, and update timelines and customer status.
  • Proactively manage customer relationships, gauge sentiment, and maintain positive customer health.
  • Offer technical assistance by translating complex machine learning concepts into simple language.
  • Discuss data strategy with customers, manage action plans, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Address customer queries regarding Obviously AI’s software and troubleshoot issues as needed.
Requirements
  • 2-6 years of experience in a customer-facing technical role, such as Solutions Architect, Technical Account Manager, or Customer Success Engineer, focusing on AI/ML or data-driven projects.
  • Background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, ML/AI, or Data Science 
  • Ability to work out of our San Francisco office 3 days a week
  • Proven track record of managing AI/ML projects from inception to completion, including scoping, planning, and testing.
  • Experience working directly with customers to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Experience working with teams across different time zones.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and languages, such as Python, R, SQL, or equivalent.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to be both concise and detailed when necessary.
  • Deep understanding of Machine Learning and AI technologies; ability to assess model performance using various metrics and identify areas for improvement.
  • Flexible and adaptable, thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Bonus:

  • Experience with small (Series A to Series C) startups.
  • Experience with data science or AI products.
  • Experience with self-serve, product-led SaaS products.
