About Turnkey

Turnkey is revolutionizing key management with an API designed for unparalleled security, flexibility, and ease of use in the Web3 ecosystem. Founded by the leaders who scaled Coinbase Custody to over $100M+ ARR, we are rebuilding crypto infrastructure from the ground up, tackling foundational security challenges to empower developers.

Much like AWS transformed computing with the advent of the cloud, Turnkey is building the trustless, transparent, and decentralized infrastructure that will unlock the next wave of mass-market crypto applications, solving the critical challenge of secure, flexible key management.

This is a highly cross-functional role with direct impact on revenue, product, and customer experience.

What You’ll Do
  • Work directly with customers in the pre-sales phase to evaluate their use cases and guide technical decision-making

  • Design and prototype lightweight integration examples using Turnkey’s APIs and SDKs

  • Join technical calls to answer questions around security architecture, enclave infrastructure, and developer workflows

  • Develop integration plans for customers and collaborate with the Customer Support team in their implementation

  • Contribute to customer-facing materials: sample code, technical diagrams, implementation guides, whitepapers, etc.

  • Collaborate with Sales, Product, and Engineering to scope integration paths and unblock deals

  • Assist in completing security, infrastructure, and architecture due diligence forms

  • Capture technical feedback and relay product feature gaps back to the internal team

  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of our developer experience, including flagging gaps in documentation or SDKs

What We’re Looking For
  • 2+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role, such as solutions engineering, sales engineering, or developer advocacy

  • Proficiency with TypeScript and modern developer tooling (e.g., GitHub, REST APIs)

  • Familiarity with cloud architecture concepts and security best practices, such as AWS

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain and visualize technical concepts to both engineers and business stakeholders

  • Self-starter attitude and comfort navigating ambiguity in a fast-paced startup environment

  • High technical empathy — you understand what it’s like to be on the other side of the API

Strongly Preferred
  • Experience working in the Web3 ecosystem — wallets, protocols, or smart contracts

  • Understanding of security best practices, including TEEs, key management, or secure signing flows

  • Familiarity with observability tools like Grafana or similar

  • Prior experience contributing to or working alongside developer products or platforms

Style Points
  • You’ve helped scale or sell developer infrastructure before (e.g. APIs, SDKs, wallets, infra)

  • You enjoy jumping between deep technical conversations and high-level product positioning

  • You can spin up a proof of concept quickly to help a deal move forward

  • You’re passionate about helping builders build — and you’ve got the GitHub commits to prove it

  • You enjoy traveling to events to network and learn about the cutting edge developments affecting our customers

What We Offer
  • Full benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, HSA/FSA, 401(k) - detailed benefits overview available as we get further in the process

  • Paid parental leave

  • Unlimited PTO (and we will force you to take time off!)

  • $3,000/yr learning and development budget to attend industry conferences (not counting those you’re requested to attend for sales support)

  • Multiple team offsites per year

  • Macbook Pro laptop

  • Lunch stipend (for those physically in the New York City office)
