We’re searching for a Staff Customer Lifecycle Marketing Manager.  

The Staff Customer Lifecycle Marketing Manager will be instrumental in driving awareness, sentiment, leads, and engagement across every stage of our customer journey. As a key team member of the Marketing team, you will develop and execute programs and campaigns that deliver targeted content with relevant messaging to audiences at different stages in the customer journey.

This role will collaborate closely with our Business Development and Product teams to understand and engage our customers (currently freight carriers). 

The ideal candidate has a background in B2B or tech customer lifecycle marketing, understands the nuances of audience segmentation, and has a strong command of marketing automation tools and CRM platforms. They are a convincing storyteller, who makes content that breaks through the noise to influence customers.

In this role, you will

Lifecycle Marketing Strategy

  • Develop and implement a lifecycle marketing strategy to enhance engagement, drive customer acquisition, and nurture long-term relationships with Aurora’s customers
  • Map the customer journey, identifying critical touchpoints and opportunities to engage audiences at each stage
  • Collaborate with the Digital & Social marketing lead to align lifecycle strategies with broader digital marketing initiatives and lead-generation campaigns
  • Regularly communicate insights and results with the broader Marketing team to inform and refine cross-channel strategies

Campaign Management

  • Segment audiences effectively to deliver personalized and timely messages that resonate with customer needs and behaviors
  • Design, create, and deploy targeted campaigns across channels, including PPC, digital display, email, newsletters, social media, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, etc.
  • Conduct A/B testing and other optimization techniques to refine messaging, timing, and content, based on what resonates best with different audience segments
  • Own marketing database, managing ingestion of marketing leads, and integration into Business Development’s CRM 
  • Implement lead scoring models in collaboration with Business Development to identify high-intent leads and ensure efficient handoff to the sales team, optimizing follow-up strategies based on lead behavior and stage in the customer journey
  • Track and report on campaign performance metrics, using data insights to optimize for higher engagement and retention

Customer Marketing 

  • Create tailored customer content and sales enablement materials such as: pitch decks, case studies, one-pagers, video content, customer event content, and personalized email campaigns–designed to address specific pain points and objections throughout the customer journey
  • Collaborate with Product and Business Development teams to collect customer research, feedback, and testimonials that inform marketing and sales approaches
  • Support Business Development team with materials for key customer meetings and events

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience in customer marketing, lifecycle, or customer relationship marketing - preferably in B2B or technology sectors
  • Expertise with marketing automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo, Salesforce Marketing Cloud)
  • Strong understanding of audience segmentation and personalization strategies.
  • Strong content developer and writer with ability to develop engaging and informative campaigns 
  • Analytical mindset with experience in campaign reporting, data analysis, and using insights to drive optimization
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative and proactive approach
  • Able and willing to work in San Francisco office 3 days a week

 Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience in the autonomous technology, logistics, or freight industry
  • Familiarity with Sales CRM platforms (e.g Salesforce) and customer data integration

The base salary range for this position is $124,000 - $199,000 per year.  Aurora’s pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future. The successful candidate will also be eligible for an annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits.
