 Say hello to opportunities.

It’s not everyday that you consider starting a new career. We’re RingCentral, and we’re happy that someone as talented as you is considering this role. First, a little about us, we’re a $2 Billion annual revenue company with double digit Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) and a $93 Billion market opportunity in UCaaS, Contact Center and AI-powered adjacencies. We invest more than $250 million annually to ensure our AI-enabled technology and platforms meet or exceed the needs of our customers.

RingSense AI is our proprietary AI solution. It’s designed to fit the business needs of our customers, orchestrated to be accurate and precise, and built on the same open platform principles we apply to our core software solutions.

Help shape how millions interact with AI-powered tools that redefine productivity in communication.

This is where you and your skills come in. We’re currently looking for a highly skilled Staff Product Designer with a focus on AI to join our team. RingCentral is transitioning to a future where we deliver “AI first communications you can trust.”

The Staff Product Designer will work closely with product teams to develop a deep understanding of our users, their challenges, and the AI-driven features we need to deliver to meet their needs. With a strong emphasis on AI use cases and mobile app design, the successful candidate will design interfaces and experiences to deliver these features effectively.

The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive portfolio showcasing their ability in crafting interactive designs across all levels of fidelity—from initial sketches to detailed specification documents—with a particular focus on integrating AI elements. This role demands a professional who excels in collaborating with both designers and engineers, appreciating the critical partnership between design and technology. Adaptable to shifting priorities and various project types, from visionary explorations to tightly scoped, rapid deliverables, the successful candidate will be passionate about driving innovation in design and understanding that a user-centric culture is key to UX success. The ability to work autonomously on multiple projects and engage with stakeholders across the organization, from individual contributors to executive leaders, is essential.

Job Duties:

  • Collaborate with product teams to gain a comprehensive understanding of our product family and our various end-user audiences with a specific focus on AI-driven solutions.

  • Lead the design of AI features for our mobile and desktop applications, ensuring an intuitive, engaging, and visually compelling user experience.

  • Utilize extensive mobile app design experience to create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, and process flows.

  • Produce production-ready designs that are not only problem-solving and interactive but also enriched with visual design, motion, and transition mechanics that amplify the value of AI.

  • Serve as a key liaison with global engineering teams responsible for the implementation of designs.

  • Promote a culture of empathy for the end-user, aligning closely with business objectives.

  • Communicate design ideas and prototypes to a broad audience within the organization.

  • Contribute to improving team processes and may mentor junior designers through critiques or design guidance

To succeed in this role you must have experience in:

  • A proven track record of designing for AI first use cases across web, desktop and mobile platforms.

  • Ability to work independently on multiple projects, engaging with all levels of the organization with a strong point of view that is open to feedback and ideas from others.

  • Ability to run design workshops with cross-functional team members

  • Ability to guide, shape, and improve team practices, comfortable with vague requirements and turning them into solid projects.

  • You consider yourself a Figma/Sketch/Adobe XD ninja.

  • You feel comfortable working within and shaping the future of design systems.

  • Thorough knowledge of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout.

  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and user experience best practices

  • A passion for design and innovation, understanding that culture is the foundation of success in UX.

  • You show proficiency across every stage of the design process, from gathering requirements to delivering visually engaging and delightful experiences.
You partner with PM and Engineering on defining scope, and delivering minimum lovable experiences with the intention to iterate and continually improve the experience, based on feedback from customers/users.

  • Communication: Ability to communicate across all levels of the organization, as needed. You are a storyteller - you define the problem, help the audience empathize with the personas, and present solutions that hit on those problem spaces.

  • Self-driven, passionate, and curious with a love for staying connected with partners.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in the gaming industry, demonstrating the ability to create engaging user experiences.

  • Experience mentoring junior designers and running design workshops.

  • Previous experience leading or mentoring other designers

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited university in HCI, Computer Science, Interaction Design, Visual Communication Design, or a related discipline (Master’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred).

  • Minimum of 9+ years of experience in digital product development such as apps, desktop, web, and/or digital ecosystems, with a specific emphasis on AI and mobile app design.
